Ooh, ooh, ooh, how about this? Orange for RED, olive for BLU?
Ooh, ooh, ooh, how about this? Orange for RED, olive for BLU?
Naw. I don't think that really works. Either way though, try both out and see which (if any) looks better. Then choose the one most people think looks good, or if both sucks, come up with some other coloration.
Vote time. Agree for Cream, Disagree for Olive.
Trigger must be the darker metal.
Has anybody made a mod for the ushanka that puts the flaps down?
What was the inspiration for that weapon anyway? I think it's hard to say exactly what colors will fit when I don't know what you're basing it on. If you don't have anything you're basing the green color on, I'd probably prefer good old team colors.
Seriously, I think olive for blu, orange for red could look bitchin'. Looking at those example pics you posted, though, I think both the grey and the colored parts should be a fair bit darker and maybe slightly more saturated.
How it sounds when we hit metal and sand?
the same as hitting everything, items only have one hit sound for materials
Is it just me, or does the "Soup Strainer" on this page http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1112749 (old emporium) look better then the Brainiac Hairpiece does?
Someone needs to make a Flaregun effect that shoots Mini Pyros. [t]http://www.lolzilla.net/images/45082105428853368620.png[/t]
Didn't the Cow Mangler fire pyros?
I can't believe that shipped that. What on earth were they thinking...

If you don't have anything you're basing the green color on, I'd probably prefer good old team colors.
To be honest I was thinking about flamethrowers and that one futuristic Heavy set Ronin and Psyke were making a while back, and the thought of canisters eventually developed into the idea of a sci-fi-ish flamethrower with some kind of semi-unique method of holding the canister and something unique about it. Eventually I got to thought and inspiration of cradles to hold the canisters with, then the thought of having it be a kinda really stereotypical green-goop-of-doom-type chemical-based launcher. My inspiration was largely a combination of the GES Biorifle and the flamethrower from Unreal and Unreal 2 with a cradle-type holding system, which soon led to a series of pipes and pumps delivering the chemicals from cylinder to firing tube. It's basically a mixture of retro-futuristic weaponry, 'government coverup'-type portable weaponry in a blend of Men in Black and the HL2 Cremator (hence the name the Coverup Operation), hooked up to the usual 'machinery that makes it work because it does' reasoning on most government weaponry, yet dumbed down enough to fit into TF2 while still looking barely ahead of its time. I would've imagined that the Pyro had found it lying in the Badlands, fixed it up a bit and decided it would be better use to him than to the desert.
-snip-
the GES biorifle? oh the nostalgia...

That image is blurred :V

But that's because it's more "proper" hair (like the Coupe or the All Father), as opposed to the "shredded newspaper" hair that WETA likes to use.
;36468284']The texture on that seems a little blurred/smudged.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/j74oj.png[/t] You sure it's the texture? [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] wait shit it's pretty blurry
[t]http://i.imgur.com/j74oj.png[/t] You sure it's the texture?
I think he means more definition. I agree. [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] Just noticed. You have 2x 1024x1024 textures. Should look really defined.
I did green/orange on stuff before it was cool (see avatar)
Ah, but you didn't combine it with blue and red.
We don't need no stinking wav files Coming to the workshop soon.
Honestly, I'm not liking the pitch shifting. Lowing the pitch of sounds generally lowers the quality of them. You lose a lot of high frequencies which makes it sound really low bitrate. Just my opinion however.
a lot of in-game sounds have pretty low frequencies.
Example? I'm not talking about an increase in low frequencies, I'm talking about a decrease in high ones. The sounds that stick out to me are the Homewrecker impact on wood and all of the Caber sounds.
The Reserve Shooter is pretty low.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=78195794 Yeah the Reserve Shooter sound is bad, but even that doesn't sound grainy like it's been pitch shifted.
