I can't remember who was working on those improved kill-icons, but whoever it was, did you/they/he/she implent my idea for the reflected Sentry rockets icon in?
What was the idea? I've had a reflected sentry icon for ages but I do vaguely recall some sort of idea to improve it from someone
Might have been adding an extra rocket to make it look like a group of 4?
The model itself has too much detail, with too detailed of a texture.
Just take a look back at the Scout's lack of small detail and compare it to your shoes' large amount of detail. My attention was immediately drawn to the shoes when I first saw the picture. Game-play wise, that isn't a good thing.
Take a look at every class' original shoes, they have very little detail, so yours should follow suit.
I prefer the Mantreads/Bootlegger (I made it hurr durr) level of detail for boot cosmetics, the originals aren't pretty. That'd be like copying the detail level for hats of the Sniper or Scout's default hats, definitely not a good idea.
I think my ice melted. Anyway, where I can find the latest version of NeoDement's Killicons?

Hmm...
Maybe clearing my DNS cache should work. Also, maybe some IPs region are being locked?

All default boots are rather plain (though I quite like how they look) because they're designed to not draw your attention. The Mantreads and Gunboats (which I also like the look of) are more detailed and therefore more noticeable, which is appropriate since they have an effect on gameplay.
With gameplay psychology in mind, i think non-item stuff is fine as it is, whereas cosmetics/weapons should be more noticeable than that but stylized enough to fit the art direction. Technically I think weapons should be more noticeable than cosmetics, but with paints and unusuals in the game that's a battle I've lost before it started.
lowered the opacity of the detail layers.
yes?no?

How would it look as the color of the Scout's hat?

I cannot texture to save my life. Someone help me please
How would it look as the color of the Scout's hat?
Probably something like this. All I did was desaturated the boot part of the picture and add an overlay of his hat color.

And this is a slightly darker color. I desaturated the boot part of the picture, and added another desaturated copy set to multiply over it.

Looks good, but I'm not fond of that color for some reason. I'll probably be able to pinpoint it later, but eh, perhaps it's too saturated.
Here's another mockup thing.

Desaturated to black and white and then added a multiply colored layer picked from his eyebrow.

The color will most likely be changed later on.
Test the sideburns with the muttonchops; I can see them being very popular together.
I have a request; make more 'fitting' versions of the Grordbort weapons, like SVDL's Portable Death Ray and Personal Death Ray skins for the Cow Mangler 5000 + Righteous Bison.
Pomson 6000: A shotgun with a magnet near the end of the barrel and some antennae on it.
Eureka Effect: The wrench from Team Fortress Classic; it has yellow (could be team coloured) and black stripes on the head and two buttons, team coloured and green on the top of the wrench.
Phlogistinator: I dunno
Manmelter: A modified fire extinguisher. Would be amusing.
Third Degree: I thought this one was fine, actually. :X
People always complain they're not fitting, but there aren't a lot of alternatives to them yet. I personally love the Grordbort weapons, but some of them are quite different in design theory etc to other TF2 weapons (Cow Mangler looks almost like a space ship, Pomson as well). I'd be all up for non-Grordbort based reskins of the items to be released.

Don't the muttonchops also replace Soldier's hair?
So I can imagine something going wrong with the sideburns and chops, unless the sideburns hair is covered under Soldier's helmet.
It's hard to see the hair change, since his hair is under a helmet.
Here's what I mean:

Be careful regarding how projected the hair is. The hair on the mutton-chops clips with many hats, including the TC.

There are a bunch of great mods out there but often times you gotta hex it for what you want.
In regards to that KBNHUD mod, is it possible to get one that has the details a little lower to the bottom of the screen? seems a bit distracting bang-smack in the middle.
Also on the scores page, dueling scores don't show up at all. Guess you could call it a bug/missing detail.

Yeah, there's a lot of fitting Engineer stuff that looks good with energy projectiles. Not so much for Pyro, though.

So you started modeling when you were 15 or so.
Damn.

Yeah. the dueling thing we might fix in a later update. Both Kalenji and I are doing our finals and then clean up from school year. Don't expect dueling scores on the scoreboard until, like the next but fix release. And moving stuff down? That would require a total rewrite of the HUD. In fact, half of the stuff pertaining to what your request is hardcoded, meaning it can't be changed without fucking over the HUD as a whole. Try Garm3nHUD. In terms of placement, some versions are partway in between this HUD and, say, PVHUD.
And yes, I know that my response is 4 hours late. I literally just woke up. Time zones kinda mess with you in that way.
So you started modeling when you were 15 or so. Damn.
