Is there any way to replace the pyroland to make it look like normal map? I love my rainblower but pyroland makes my computer lag.
Is there a way to remove the pyrovision on the maps' surfaces and that pink border outline on the screen? Im fine w/ the weapon particles etc but the actual pink/blue maps actually make my eyes hurt. asking here as its more of a mod sorta question.

Is there any way to replace the pyroland to make it look like normal map? I eagerly await the advent of an update to the consistent kill icons pack. SUPER OFF TOPIC! I KNOW!
Is there any way to replace the pyroland to make it look like normal map? It disables the colors, but leaves all the audio and weapon based particles. I think just googling "remove pyroland hud" will help a good deal. Ninja'd. Why are talking about notlu in JUNE? The summer sales haven't even started and the classic update event starts tomorrow This event is supposed to be just like notlu but only without hats and cosmetics
we can't even have cosmetics!? I try to get interested in the classic update but you don't make it easy
Every summer I tell myself I will learn to model, but this time I'm actually gonna do it
Tf2 is not cartoony? Or is something else not cartoony?
Think he means "guns sounding the same" is not cartoony, which is absolutely true.
Actually I was referring to TF2 not being cartoony, it's not realistic but lumping it in with cartoony hardly does it justice. Heavily stylised makes more sense.
classic update event starts tomorrow
Wait what Rate me late or dumb or whatever but what's this classic update event you speak of
okay well my thing also then cartoons aren't characterized by guns sounding the same [editline]30th June 2012[/editline]
Wait what Rate me late or dumb or whatever but what's this classic update event you speak of
the "no fun allowed" update (making weapons that could fit the old theme of TF2) [editline]30th June 2012[/editline]
Why are talking about notlu in JUNE? That sounds great.
Personally, I don't think a notlu sequel is a good idea- that's something Hollywood would do. A fresh, new idea would be better and more interesting (not to mention that a new Halloween update would be crippled because so many halloween items have previously been made). The robotic idea sounds neat. Perhaps mash that idea together with the ol' power struggle update.

A lot of us are going to be making Halloween items anyway, we might as well make an event out of it.
Personally, I don't think a notlu sequel is a good idea- that's something Hollywood would do.
Given that the NotLU was absolutely full of horror movie references, isn't "something Hollywood would do" a good thing in this scenario?
Given that the NotLU was absolutely full of horror movie references, isn't "something Hollywood would do" a good thing in this scenario?
We should take this to it's logical conclusion; instead of NoTLU II, we could skip to Night of The Living Update Pt. 7: The Revengenating!
That's not what he meant. There's already so many Halloween items in.
That's not what he meant. There's already so many Halloween items in.
Valve will still be looking for more.
Maybe we should start working on halloween items now rather than later
But Valve adds Halloween community items every year, that's why we do it.
actually I take this back, it's also because it's a super fun, open theme

I kinda wanna get back into modelling, anyone have some simple-ish concept art to start with? Also, what's a good way to get a flat plane with an image on it, just making it and loading the texture always ended up in me resizing the goddamn thing a million times before it looked half good.
A big jaw breaker with a fuse sticking out of the top? What about one of those fat floating kittens we see a few times in MtP?

Is the default pistol the only one with an actual clip that gets loaded into it? I dont see any of the other pistols having a clip in their texture files. Would like to know because I have a pistol idea and need to know if I should make a clip for it or not.

It's possible.
