Requesting a tonfa (or police baton) for Scout. Could have some interesting stats; hitting enemies on the back of the head could crit them or something. And it could have two styles, depending on where it is held.
Thanks to all that replied, have to decompile the v_model for the pistol I guess since the engi only has the lugermorph as his other pistol possibility.
So I'm working on these again. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24102295/revisions.png[/t] Fixing up some errors, gonna lod them up. And than need to find someone to texture them. Fun fun fun.

Awesome stuff. This plus the Glengarry Bonnet and: would give the ultimate Scotsman set.
Dem automatic weights.

Doesn't Gabe have a beard now?
Doesn't Gabe have a beard now?
He shaved again recently.
I'd still like to see the Facepunch community make a map prop pack together. Then again, that didn't go so well last time. I guess making elaborate models that can't be submitted to the workshop isn't the most motivating task.
I'm also not sure how many mappers we've got around here. TF2 maps makes prop packs every now and then, but they usually then also have maps to show off the new props.
I'm tempted to recommend making use of some sort of mock censor thing like was used on that spy's face misc someone made. Maybe as a style. EDIT: Here it is. The [Redacted] Man by Pogo http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6021
Actually thought about it, though I was thinking of playing around with some sort of distortion effect. Probably wouldn't work, decided not to go through with the effort.
Fucking smart! I'd just go with some darker lines for the tartan pattern, maybe a few yellow ones and maybe increase the team coloring a bit towards team spirit brightness, seeing how his pants are closer to it in the area where the kilt is. A slight gradient might also be neat Oh, and i hpe you intend to give it a nomalmap, kilts usually have pleats in the back also how well does it play with his feet items?
The tartan is colored with paint. It's not actually meant to be paintable, but it has teamcolors with just one texture. Valve seems to be fairly memory conscious these days, they wanted me to do the heavy shirt styles in greyscale just so there wouldn't be two textures. Then again it had more styles. Anyway, making the tartan pattern this way is kind of annoying. There's no normal map yet. Shoes seem to work well enough.
Hey svdl, if you have the time could you revisit your EOD suit skin for the demoman? It's easily one of my favorite mods and I would love to see it done with your current skills.
Maybe one day, though I would consider this thing to be the pretty much the remade version.
First time I've submitted something to the Emporium.

Not to mention, it fits the demolition aspect of demoman a lot more.
Release coming soon! If you like it make sure to rate!

TF2 maps makes prop packs every now and then, but they usually then also have maps to show off the new props.
I'm one, technically, but you probably shouldn't count on me to make any props justice. There are indeed people on TF2maps who occasionally model props or make mapping textures, but not nearly enough to satisfy everyone's wishes. Come to think of it, a joined effort to make a pack may not be a good idea, but there's a whole forum section of scattered requests for anyone to peruse. Is the intention of directing modelers there noble enough to deserve an attention capybara? I think it is noble enough to deserve an attention capybara. Here's an attention capybara:
Random thought for anyone who wants it: A misc for Soldier that is him toting around his collection of severed heads on his belt, grenade belt, back, etc. In Pyroland they appear as some collection of disproportionate little men playing musical instruments. Sgt. Soldier's Loony Heads Club Band.

If your theme won't catch the eye of the mappers, then you're just wasting your time. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] Telling people to go in there and do all their requests might not be so attractive to most modelers though. I'd reckon most people would feel like they're working for ideaguys just doing single props for some specific thing in someones map, while doing weapons and cosmetic are things that are much more likely to get them official recognition.
TF2's shotgun reload also comes from HL2, also the respawn locker and metal/health respawn. Yea, one of the shotguns, I think the auto-shotgun? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rcUyV-zBApE#t=135s It seems the regular L4D2 shotgun also uses the TF2 shotgun sound
They're not the same sound. You can tell that both TF2 and L4D2 have used the same source audio but they are definitely not the same sound. You can tell that the TF2 versions have nice delicate sweeteners that make them sound unique and helps them fit into the world of TF2. It's modifications like this that I wish that had carried out when introducing new weapons into the game. M4 is a prime example. Even if L4D and TF2 shared the same sounds, TF2 is adopted a sound that is very low quality, and that takes away from the quality of the game instantly.

If we did something a bit more diverse I think it may be interesting.

Of course I don't expect modelers to rush there and dutifully make everything people are requesting. I just think it could be a nice place to look if you're a modeler and out of ideas. It may be a bit less glamorous than collaborating over a whole proper pack, but it doesn't require the planning, consensus and coordination that a pack does.
So, has anyone thought to replace the Balloonicorn with AkuAku yet?
So, has anyone thought to replace the Balloonicorn with AkuAku yet?
Or better yet, replacing it with RoBro?
Why haven't we got Aku Aku and Uka Uka mask replacements for the Noh Mercy and Mask of the Shaman?
Submitted to the workshop and mod version here: Please vote, Thank you!
So, has anyone thought to replace the Balloonicorn with AkuAku yet?
Oh my, someone make it so
