I just had the best idea for a replacement pyroland: Instead of everything being rainbows and candy, why not have a charred wasteland, aka Hell?

Actually that'd be pretty easy, a lot of work, but pretty easy. Hell I might do it as a paint thinner pack for the classic update.

Hit-and-run tactics, but also scouting enemy territory, hence the messenger bag and the headset. I also think the cap and dogtags are pretty standard army gear. I imagine Scout to be someone that recently finished military training, but greatly exceeded everyone else in his area of expertise.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna rework it, I was aiming for something really low poly with painted on face, but I see people put more detail into their work and the polygon limit for weapon or hat is quite high so I guess I could model out mouth, nose, brows and eyes easily and other details while still keeping it low enough, I'm also gonna need highly detailed model for normal map baking.

I wonder, why nobody has made a Victorian bed warmer for pyro? It's quiet heavy, some designs are really cool and it fits pyro more than gardening rake.

considering with Balloonicorn it seems miscs can now be tethered to players to hover behind them (even after death), and always remain upright, maybe an rc helicopter for Engineer that hovers behind him?

Valve got back to us on that a couple days ago, actually. They want it in, but they say it's too high-poly and all the animations except for the radar have to go. The animations I can understand, but it's 1,000 tris less than the balloonicorn and has LODs.
Valve optimization != contributor optimization, apparently.
