Agreed, although I don't think the people whom it crashed feel the same way.
Would be funny to see a Soldier or Demo explosive jumping, then looking at the tele in midair.

You won't be able to crash the bots - the crash was caused by trying to render the name of the teleporter (like "Teleporter Exit built by... "), which is why you could see it but would crash if you looked at it dead-on (as the game would attempt to produce a box telling you it was a teleporter, but the fetching of the string would fail and the game would halt). Bots do not "see" things, or at least, the bots do not need to render things they see. They can stare directly at it and not be affected in the slightest.
This is also the reason that it did not crash enemies when they looked at it - it didn't generate the box. Unless the enemy was a disguised spy, of course.

Yet the TFBots have timed out for me in the past when I tried to live-render a citadel made out of flame particles.
Would be fun if an enemy came by and noticed how half of the team is staring at a teleport.
