I think it could work just fine as a melee weapon. Hold down the button and Heavy will swing it in set intervals. It has windup/winddown lag like the Minigun during which Heavy turns the chainsaw on or off. To compensate, it slows your opponent drastically and deals small amounts of damage drastically as long as the enemy is in your grasp (think if the Gunslinger taunt). And if you kill an enemy with it, they are decapitated.
If you want to buff it, reduce its negative stats upon receiving crits or minicrits, which makes sense with the Steak for example.
If you want to nerf it, reduce Heavy's movement speed and fiddle with the windup/winddown times.
I still can't register in the Adult Swin website to get the new hat.
By the way, how much people are asking for the roasted items?

It wouldn't be viable or useful. Why would you take out the chainsaw when the minigun is just as effective at close range?
I don't really care about its stats but if it ever gets in I want it to be approached as a primary.

also, I think I can never play Pyro the same way again as I did before. Before, I ran around mindlessly simply burning others and not giving a fuck. Now I think that if I burn somebody, they will burn and die in a painful way. And that is, sad..
That new map in a nutshell:
- Sniper are having the time of their life: every single exit of their spawn is a nice camping spot with a good view on a big chunk of the map.
- A single engie can ruin everyone's day by spamming his minisentry on the plateform near the top of the missile, if you have no soldier/sniper/demo to focus him it's horrible.
- THE ENNEMIE HAS TAKEN THE AUSTRRRRALIUM THE ENNEMIE HAS DROPPED THE AUSTRRRRALIUM THE ENNEMIE HAS TAKEN THE AUSTRRRRALIUM etc. Gave me a headache after 30 minutes.
I hope we will see more map with that gamemod, because it can still be fun if people are not blocking the game with snipers/sentries.

There are a few problems with the game mode that can be remedied with tweaking; but a majority of Hydro's faults are from the map.

You can change the attributes of the texture, I wonder if I can make a wall that only people with pyroland can use?
