Baby face's blaster looks rather bad actually, the passive slow you down to normal speed, which is would make it extremely hard for a scout to kill someone because his main perk is his high walking speed.
But this wont be a problem if the boost builds up at a high rate.
Mad Milk or even the pocket pistol might help survivability with it. Then again, ALL THAT FIRE DAMAGE.
I kill scouts quick enough, and if they have the pocket pistol, holy shit they're going to roast really fast.
ANYWAYS
I AM SO HYPED FOR DAY 3 RIGHT NOW
I've already come to terms with the fact that Engineer won't even get a hat this update.
I have the upmost faith that Valve will reveal more Pyro items tomorrow
This is like the bazzilion time an update starts out dull, and then turns awesome. You guys are so gullible.
You want pyro items ?
Too bad soldier update.
It makes me really mad that they are rolling more passive effects on weapons.
Oh yay, +15% more health and no fall damage for a slightly worse pistol and +50% fire vulnerability! Screw every class but pyro, we're going live!
And now for the million dollar question:
How can you possibly know that Scout has that pistol if he's never gonna use it?
WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!
Why are you using it in the first place.
Because that little damage bonus can actually mean something in some situations.
And no fall damage with pistol? Fuck yes. That has been my killer as scout due to failed jumps. That plus Atomizer will be total rape.
because
nO EXCUSE
One weapon and two cosmetic items? I think that's good enough
Except the soldier has so much shit, one weapon and two cosmetic items are too much. :v:
That rocket launcher looks like loads of fun.
After all those updates, the Pyro only have ONE chance to kill a Scout.
Flaregun+Airblast+Flaregun.
Miss one of those three shots and you are dead.
(Of course, if the Scout is an idiot, you can kill him with your flamethrower+Axtinguisher).
One weapon and two cosmetic items? I think that's good enough
Chances are, Soldier is getting three more items. A shotgun, a battle banner and a shovel.
I don't see any reason for Valve to exclude three weapons from the same set, especially when they've been holding on to this set for, what, years?
If tomorrow had that warning previously about not opening before watching Meet the Pyro, then perhaps it means it'll be more stuff for Pyro, given whatever happens in the video? That or it's Tobor.
I've already come to terms with the fact that Engineer won't even get a hat this update.
They've said that the Engie is the hardest class to balance because of how much he affects the flow of a match. It's not really any wonder we don't see many new weapons for him besides minor stuff.

Oh damn did anyone already post this?
baby face's accuracy buff is all but negated on servers using competitive settings such as no random spread.
3 degrees of spread? How significant is that, compared to shotgun/scattergun bullet spread?
Also, it sounds like the UT99 rocket launcher.
Because that little damage bonus can actually mean something in some situations.
On average your bullets will deal 2 more damage.
But you have 5 bullets... down from 12.... Do the math :)
Except the soldier has so much shit, one weapon and two cosmetic items are too much. :v:
I suppose in the next update they can just remove Soldier items :v:
Wait why are we complaining that soldier gets a weapon.
When clearly Sniper and Scout has the most weapons in this update.
"At the end of the day, the Pyromania update is a celebration—not just of Team Fortress, but more importantly of you, the TF community, and even more importantly than that, of us, the TF blog post writers, and how great yesterday's blog post was. That Men Without Hats material was a career high. In fact, we decided to never touch this blog again in the hope that it might be preserved in a perfect state for future generations.
You’re probably wondering, then, why we’re crapping up the blog with the crummy words you’re reading right now. Well, if you thought writing blog posts barely qualifies as a job, it turns out not writing them is apparently a lot worse. So as an alternative to getting fired, welcome to Pyromania Day Two's blog post, which we've chosen to use as a moment of quiet reflection on the stellar comedic heights we hit yesterday. We've also only got one more day until Pyromania goes live, exploding into a fireball of new item sets, a new game mode, and of course, Meet the Pyro."
Genius.

Except comp players are douchebags and who wants to play with them
yeah, soldier didnt even get the whole pack.
Sniper weapons and rocket launcher look kinda fun. Not a fan of the Scout's pack tho, I love me some mobility and falldamage has never really been a problem for me (not any more than for other classes anyway).
Actually hurts a tiny bit since the Brawler's Blaster skin grew on me so much but the stats on the actual weapon don't look fun at all. :v: I mean, I'll try it out before making any definite judgment, but from what I've read...
First Opinions of the new weapons:
Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol - Seems overpowered. Special Delivery Scouts are annoying enough as is, but this basically gives you the bulk of that health bonus but lets you choose your primary and melee of choice. Fighting a pyro will be more difficult (one flare will do 105-135 damage, depending on whether or not afterburn is boosted as well), but as long as you stay out of the flamer's reach, you can manage.
Baby Face's Blaster - Seems more like a gimmick. A fun gimmick, but still a gimmick. I suppose once you built up the boost (hopefully it won't take many hits), you'd be nigh untouchable, and a hell of an Intel carrier, but that fact that jumping ruins the boost kinda kills it.
Cleaner's Carbine - Seems like a fair sidegrade to the SMG, unless the boost also affects Primary weapons. If that is the case, then I'd call it a slight upgrade (you might be able to pull off two crit bodyshots with it, so not TOO much chaos could be rained form afar).
Hitman's Heatmaker - Nice little weapon here. Not much to say that isn't already explained by the item's description, other than it seems like a solid choice for good snipers.
Beggar's Bazooka - Depending on the nature of the charge shot, and just how much the degree alteration is, this may either be overpowered or underpowered. The charge shot seems like it would be UTTER HELL against an engineer nest.
Scorch Shot - Depending on the amount of knockback, this could be a fun little weapon. If the damage reduction appiles to the afterburn, it'll be pretty useless, but otherwise it seems like the Detonator's little cousin Gerald.

I mean... you get to move around at lightning speed.
That sounds pretty fun
