You're slower until you hit somebody, which makes the initial rush for a point pointless, as there's no way you'll get there before other scouts/demomen/soldiers. You're even more of a burden than quick-fix medics.
Playing on nospread servers makes the baby blaster a straight downgrade. That pistol though. Equipped forever.

To all the pyro vs scout people. The reason why the scout has such a massive advantage is not because of his dps. The scout can run away if he's losing, the pyro can't.

I used to love the incendiary cannon. Now it's back, and pretty much the same as it was, excepting that you can't burn stuff through walls like in TFC. That's fine by me. if anything, it will be the forst thing I craft. If not, the SMG or the pistol.

I wonder how far will the Scorch Shot knock people back, I imagine it could be awesome on maps with lots of pits. I'm a bit afraid it might be unimpressive seeing what happened to the Detonator though.

i like how people are complaining that the pyro only has one weapon so far. the medic didnt even get anything in the uber update until the last day

It's also got the confusion and distortion of constant fire to blind enemies and the noise from it to distract them. And, on top of that, airblasts to just tell them to fuck off. Getting away is never a problem for me when I play Pyro. It's usually easier than when I play Scout, since by the time I'm trying to bounce as Scout, my health is already in the flashing red.

I kinda like these sets. The Scout and Soldier stuff looks interesting. The Sniper stuff is alright. I'm glad they made a new Smg, I just wish it wasn't so modernized. Still, nothing to complain about really.

I gave a list of things I wanted yesterday in an argument against Ned. Needless to say, a lot of that was fulfilled today. New Sniper SMG, new Scout shotgun, it's crazy.
So, does that countdown tell us when the update will actually drop? Because I won't be home, then.
I wonder if the new rocket launcher will use air for ammunition.

The Solemn Vow and Overdose were also not in Meet the Medic, but we got them. Valve sets or not I can almost guarantee the one flaregun isn't the Pyro's only item.
The speed boost was actually what I thought Bonk was going to be when it was first released.
