I think Meet the Medic was still the best one by far.
That wasn't bad, it was just very underwhelming compared to how good Meet the Medic was.
surely it isn't a coincidence that Gabe Newell "claimed" he likes My Little Ponie and then Meet The Pyro features the same world that it is set in.

Exactly, Valve kept his identity a secret for a purpose and I think they're sticking to that. IMO unmasking the Pyro would be a bad decision even if the community screams for it. The mystery behind the mask is what's so great about Pyro's character overall and this video pretty much portrays it. It doesn't explain much because Pyro's so chaotic and illogical at the very beginning anyway.
In my opinion, that video couldn't have been any better.

I have to say, though, for a video that they took FIVE YEARS to release and hyped up as much as they did, two minutes is a really fucking disappointing video length. They also didn't explain anything about the pyro, even the stuff that wouldn't have caused rage to explain and wouldn't have broken his mystique. Come to think of it, why the hell did they even hype up the bit about the city being on fire if the weapon sets aren't even mentioned or shown and the city being on fire is only shown in short bits? You know what, I retract my earlier comment to Scot; he's right. This kind of sucks, considering what they've been hyping it up for.
I require a gamemode where everyone is babies now.

While you're right it seems a lot of people didn't really like it.
I can only hope at this point that it's all a big joke and they'll release an actual meet the pyro video later that explains some shit, is longer than two minutes, and actually, you know, ties in with the update in any conceivable way.
