I thought this topic was about constructive feedback, not be a bunch of rude monkeys toward the staff/ex-staff members of TF2outpost.

I don't know what you're talking about man... I mean, you ask someone, "what's wrong with person x?" and they reply "he's a faggot". That's pretty constructive imo.

White knighting doesn't earn you brownie points
Feedback is always appreciated I assure you

No.
I'm sure it could be done in a more polite manner.

I'm fairly certain it was obvious sarcasm.
Ah, the joys of moderating a community such as tf2's
i cant think of any.

Calling people "rude" and then "monkeys" right after makes you sound slightly hypocritical.
I currently have 2 personal issues with Outpost atm.
1. The site doesn't force users to read the rules for every single change we make, I know tf2r does this and I personally think its the best thing to counter the whole "Oh I didn't know there was rules, no one told me!" response. I know when you first make an account it sends you to the help page but most users tend to skip it.
2. Private backpacks, either some work around has to be developed to allow staff to see hidden backpacks for investigation purposes or to just simply prevent the user from using the site until they set their profile to public, rather than us having to ban people for it.

You guys ban for this? Lol that's ridiculous.
Also think about what you just said, it doesn't lie within the site, it's through Valve and thank fuck they will never give anyone the ability to do that.
Maybe Sneeza could try caching the last loaded BP before their profile was hidden but that's about it. (Have fun getting him to do that though)

It stops us from doing investigations, as it fucks up the item history.
It's just private, friends only is fine to my knowledge.
investigations huh
please expand on that further
also the site should have a ban list

Most of the time, users with private profiles are scammers, scammer alts, or fences.
And we do have a ban list, just not a public one.
Is there a way to filter clean items so we can search just for dirty/uncraftable items?
I just got this idea.
You know how TF2B shows separate inventories for TF2, Dota 2, Portal, etc... What if TF2 Outpost did the same thing, or something very similar.
Imagine one site, but different sub-sites(?), like Dota Outpost, Portal Outpost, Steam Outpost (for game/inter-game trading), etc...
I don't know, sounds cool to me.

You're an admin there aren't you? Talk to Sneeza about it.
You're an admin there aren't you? Talk to Sneeza about it.
:v:
If only it were that easy, he used to give me keys all the time for god knows why but he would NEVER actually talk for longer than 5 lines of text, there was even an incident where we ended up with a free sunbeams unusual and it never got returned because he never got back to me.
You're an admin there aren't you? Talk to Sneeza about it.
Everytime I try to talk to him about anything suggestion wise, it's either:
"It'll go on my to-do list".
or
"No."
[editline]2nd August 2012[/editline]
Then it never happens (or doesn't happen for fucking forever).
Is Sneeza the head-admin there? If so, then he should really treat you guys with more respect and dignity. Oh who am I kidding, so many mods/admins go haywire with power and use that as an excuse. Sneeza sounds like a total dick.

He respects us well.

Name an instance so I can laugh at it (assuming you're talking about OP).

Sneeza is super-nice, what are you talking about?
Jumping to conclusions is fun

Rule #5
No private profiles or private backpacks — not only is it suspicious, but it also prevents the website from functioning properly.

You can just unprivate then make your trades then private it again.
You can just unprivate then make your trades then private it again.
And then get perma'banned.
And then get perma'banned.
That doesn't really make sense. If I'm not currently using the site, why does it need to be public.
Like after I make the trade, not during it.

Because it's too suspicious. I've said this before, a lot private profile accounts are fences or have something to hide. Sorry, don't make the rules, just enforce them.
In response to Zero asking if Sneeza was head admin, no. We have no head admin(s), which is not good, especially when Sneeza is gone. No decisions can really be made at that point.

I assumed because of this:
Everytime I try to talk to him about anything suggestion wise, it's either:
"It'll go on my to-do list".
or
"No."

The way you're making him out to be is a dick. If you're gonna say something bad about him, at least counteract it with a positive statement, ie: "But he's real nice other than not taking much into consideration".
Also, I wasn't talking about outpost, just in general, a lot of people go powercrazed when they're given authority. Although, you and suttles are way more serious now that you're admins/mods of a few different sites.

He could be bust with other things. Some people are like that, but it doesn't make them dicks.

Fair enough. I assumed it, which I guess isn't a good thing to do. Bad habit, hard to break, sorry for the misunderstanding.
