If thats what he wants his game to look like, thats how it will look.[/QUOTE] no. that is not how it works. you don't repaint a picture and say "well if i want it to look like the mona lisa is doing the hitler salute then that's how it will look" changing the art style is literally saying that you do not care about the art designer's hard work. removing phong completely destroys the art style because the materials were set up so that rimlighting and phong would "complete" them, the final peice to the puzzle, so to speak, removing it removes all life and vibrancy from them. and then the gall to change the lightwarps from colored to matte black is ludicrous, the lightwarps are tinted for a reason, to evoke fake radiancy and to aid in team identification, i genuinely do not understand why you would ever change that. How are you making those? Very nice soft lighting on those. Couldy you make one with a demoman who has the samur-eye on (nothing else).
