Indeed. Not all things are false, yet not all things are true. There's always the chance that this is totally false, yet there's also the possibility that in 6 months there'll be gun-toting guard dogs running around Gravelpit.
It would be nice if Valve would put out some nice models for us to toy with for fun.
Someone ask these guys to release the dog model, man. I wanna make some dramatic Scout and his dog scenes.
Very much.
Also, apart from the outside chance of introducing a Guard Dog into the game, and the implementation of the Trading and Crafting systems, who do you think should get the next Update?
The dog model (if there is one) would be AWESOME. And I actually like the idea aswell, with a couple of tweaks here and there.
The dog would be able to sniff out someone over and over round after round?
1. Sniff spy's knife
2. Find and kill spy
3. Repeat step 2
(rage quit spy)
There would have to be a limit to how long or how many rounds the sent lasts. And you can't sniff the guy again to refresh the sent or you can't track the same guy twice in a row. Seams fun otherwise.
Cloaking could stop the tracking.
But this is a good idea. I'll bet Valve would balance it (read: nerf) it a bit more, but whoever thought of this is no idiot.

Maybe when you die, you lose the scent.
The achievement icons, hell, they are too perfect to be third party.
And for the poor English, I think you know someone at Valve who doesn't have a perfect english... remember? http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=2525
Nah, just joking, I doubt Valve would make up such a gigantic troll by posting a "fake" update, as a random player, using a random free hosting service. Anyway, the textures don't even look TF2-ish.
Too bad, I'd have loved to play as a guard dog. :ohdear:
Highly doubt it's real but It's pretty damn good.
I lost all doubt things like this were possible to be added after Jarate occured, so I wouldn't put it past em.
The shading looks really weird and doesn't seem to fit well with TF2.
The muzzle flash the Hanger puts out isn't the standard.
None of the links work.
No Health or Ammo in the HUD with the tracking picture.
Too many things point to a hoax.
Holy shit, that fake thing looks nice.
Rated artistic.

I did find the achievment ideas to be very entertaining.
I beg to differ.

I cried, put this in the CMAO thread.

Fuck, this isn't real.

Also, I think it's animal cruelty to backstab a dog
That's probably the best fake update page I've ever seen.
Really neat idea. No way it will even be implemented *wink wink jinx* though, but I'd totally play Guard Dog.

you can blow dogs to peices in fallout 3
Creative? Yes.
Cool as ****? Yes.
Very well done? Yes.
Overpowered? Yes.
But would it complement the atmosphere of the game? I think not.
Not to mention, who the hell would hire a dog mercenary? I mean, if it had an awesome name... maybe...
This was posted before but Greeman DTT'd the other thread. :raise:
Like I said in the other thread. if Valve did this PETA would complain like they did about CoD:WaW. Valve should do it just for that. :v:
It'd be awesome if this could at least be an unlockable for the engie.
Mainly the tracking and the guarding.

What if he had 100 health?
Also it looks like someone forgot their WW1 and WW2 history.
Dogs were used to sniff bombs and occasionally attack.
Just like how a sandvich is nothing like a shotgun!
Too bad the dog would have no character relation to the engineer and the sandvich does.
-snip-

They may have complained, but they made it through. :v:
So now I can knife dogs online, not that I do that in real life or anything.
:ssh:
Follower for the engi, it would be baws.
It's a nice hoax, but pretty obviously fake.
I wouldn't mind if the Engineer got a "Guard dog" sentry/teleporter/dispenser unlock though.
Although my idea for that is probably more of an angry pitbull chained to a stick, or something like that.
If this was real, and the dog an only go by its chain, its only a matter of time till people make the chain spaz and the dog gets stuck, or people find ledges where they can put te stick, and have the dog endlessly hanging and clawing the wall

I thought it was a Soldier Unlock.
German Shepard
Holds areas.
That sorta shit.
