The Xbox Live is the only thing I hate about the console.
Yeah, it's the only thing keeping me from completely loving my 360, too. It wouldn't bother me so much if not for two things: it STILL costs the same as it did when it started (unless you find a lucky retailer deal) and now they're trying as hard as they possibly can to goad you until getting it. They withhold any free content that hits the Marketplace a full week from silver members, they stick ads for gold EVERYWHERE, and now they added a stupid "gold status" to everyone's profile, which pretties up their gamercard if they have gold and displays a big number for how many years they've been on gold. It's like they're trying to make silver members feel like excluded leftovers from their community.
The only bots ever made for TF2 that were worth downloading was RCBot, and that's PC.
tl;dr
no
You NEED to have low gravity and unplayable HL2 maps to have fun? It was annoying enough that if you joined a messed up server, the messed up settings followed you if you made your own.
Having fun sometimes means going out of the way to do something. A change is nice have every now and then. Like one time I was on a server that made me a BLU spy and everyone else any RED class they wanted. So I had infinite cloak and everyone had low gravity, making it really fun to play seeing as though I was pretty good as sneaking up on them and getting away from them. It may not appeal to everyone, but it sure is fun.

That's nice for maybe the PC version where the server name and tags will tell you that that's what you're going to be playing, but the 360 version doesn't have server names (it runs on peer-to-peer connections with one person being the "host") and it doesn't have server tags. Before the exploit was patched, trying to find a server with normal rules for normal play was very hard to do, especially because if you joined a game with modded cvars, the cvars stuck with you if you left and created your own game. Thus, the exploit was almost like a virus, "infecting" players who joined modded games.
So yeah, I agree that it's nice to have the choice to play like that, but it isn't nice when you're forced to.
Xbox = No No for Valve games.
There are no bots.

No, that's PS3. Xbox gets some updates, PS3 gets nothing.
Valve should add an update allowing cvar use and a real lobby system that isn't half useless.

oh that means we get the non fucked up version, join me if you love the original bugs and non updated maps.
