This is so late, but what's up with this thing?

Why is it designed like that?
Also hey look a promo item that fits the original artstyle.
I still have no idea why they gave it to Pyro.
Maybe if you stopped usurping the success of others, and developed a creative talent of you own, and were less smug about the whole thing, people would be more accepting.
You know what? I think I've only started to dislike Ronins work a lot more since he started this 'partnership' with you. His stuff was always typically 'out of your face' and modestly displayed before. I even used to have nice conversations with him on steam.
I can't pin down why this is exactly. Maybe it's got something to do with you following me into servers wearing the brown bomber and using the Schadenfreude taunt on repeat.
Is it okay if I kill Psyke with my Pain Train?
Thanks Neo! I do see your point but I just greatly prefer seeing his welding goggles since I believe it's a distinctive aspect of the engineer. But heck, perhaps I'm just blind. Maybe I can fashion it as a style, hmm.
Thanks Ronin! I'll try to check in more frequently. I'd like to hear about your nitpicks though ;-)
Thanks to everyone in the Facepunch modelling community, your guys contribution continues to fuel/inspire the creative efforts for your fellow contributors and newcomers alike; thank you, you guys rock!
Cool. I didn't want to give crits unless asked specifically. One is that there is little color variety. I'm a minimalist and actually like how your set is colored but the TF2 design scheme leans to a more distinctive approach and noticeable contrast between colors. Some of the details, although very indicative of identity to your items (cords, nubs and such) can stand to be exaggerated a bit to be more on the cartoony side. Experiment with making them bigger or in deforming them a bit a not too equal-side and predictable.

If you're venturing deeper into the world of 3d, and wanting to build your skill-set, are you thinking of learning to sculpt more? Have you tried modeling faces or animals? Anythitng that isnt made from blocks? It would be really interesting to see.

We can do sappers now?

Apologies for the large picture, if I use imgurs re sizing options it removes transparency.
Tick: Redo it with super tablet skills
Cross: It's fine as is
Zing: Draw an itty bitty pretty pony instead

Implying implications
Guys, guys, guys.. You've got to stop those spontaneous outbursts of drama. Learn to bottle up your rage and let it devour you from the inside instead, so we can all get along. Look at me, I nurture a vitriolic hatred for one specific emporium regular, but I bet none of you can guess who it is.
Is it... me?
I always knew it was me.

Sapper replacement.
I've been wanting to make that exact same thing for years as a sapper replacement, look great
If they added the "Backpack" bodygroup to the Kritzkrieg, does that mean... we'll finally get the Kritz backpack?
If they added the "Backpack" bodygroup to the Kritzkrieg, does that mean... we'll finally get the Kritz backpack?
on the contrary, while the Kritz used to share a region with the QF (back) it now doesn't and instead shares the same region as the stock Medigun (Medic backpack).
So the new backpack can be equipped with the Kritz, but not the Quick-Fix, implying the Kritz is not really planned to get a backpack any time soon.
Great, now i have to make a sapper for my spy set.

Yeah i think i responded to that in the last page. I intend to move into making non-tf2 stuff in the later stages. Right now i'm trying to figure out the principles and inner workings of shaders in blender. Making organic, structural and physics governed models are the logical progression of this process.
the rudeness
and now they won't because it'll limit the item people might have paid money for :/

While I'm neither for nor against the idea of giving the Spy a Swiss army knife, making one item that goes into three slots at once feels a bit... Inventive?

Why blender? I can't think of any game or animation studio that works in bender. Why not do the same with maya or max?
an item that can be equipped in multiple slot and changes depending on the slot, but at the same time is the same item, but can be equipped with itself at the same time (or not).
I could see them actually making that concept work, but it would require some changes to how loadout works. It would also give them a nice base to do hats that can also be miscs and vice versa.

For one, it's in the only one available for me right now. I got maya but right now i dont have the time to learn it yet. I tried but i found i can do some more time with blender. Sure i'd like to be involved with other game projects but my inclinations are first and foremost graphics design for advertising. It will surely bolster my portfolio and i'm sure my local clients here will greatly enjoy this new media that i can offer them.

The Fancy Fedora
Level 14 Hat Weapon
On Hit: Blinds target until they take the hat off their face
Does no damage
Hat must recharge after use
Edit; Quick, someone hex the fedora for the knife/sapper
you can do that right
Oh god, how about this for a jokey model.
Giant top hat sapper. When sapping, completely covers sentry in HAT
Oh god, how about this for a jokey model.

it doesn't destroy the sentry, it just hides it under a giant top hat, leaving a really confused engineer wondering where his sentry is
Ooor a normal sized top hat sapper that just places a normal sized hat on top of the sentry, making it too self-absorbed to attack anyone.
