Recommend overalls colours. Something not too dark or saturated, but still enough to match his pallet and have contrast.
(informative) [editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
You need to do what was suggested, take the Spys default coat color and darken it a bit.
Tried that in what you quoted, I must have sampled the wrong part (friendly)
You may want to make it slightly float above the suit rather then clip into it, take the pocket medic as an example.
I might try that, just keep in mind that the elbow moves a lot more than the pocket medic. So I decided to make my own particles for the Capper's Canopic splash effect. Zecond opinions? :downs: Edit: Okay, odd. Apparently when rendering, the firstperson views were through the sniper/spy's perspective? It was actually through my perspective as the Scout... Oh well...

It clips a little with a couple of poses, but nothing terrible. I'm concerned I might have overdone the spec on the reflective stripes, though that really is what gives the item character. Any obvious changes needed with the model or texture? Finally, I need suggestions on paintability, as well as a name. I came up with "The Uncivil Worker," which is just terribad.
Thanks to all who gave me potential hats to go with, I have decided on what to use and I already have the whole thing modeled for 1 of the classes (sans LoD's). I am going to keep the hat a secret until I am finished with it and it is released. Hopefully people will like it and think its unique enough.

How about something with reflection? Because it's a reflex vest, and the Engineer occasionally reflects on things?
-engie stuff-
so now we have the builder class can he build centuries and healrobots? :v:
And then Valve changes it to the "Sultan of Safety" with some song or movie quote as the description
Now they're gonna see your post and actually name/describe it as that. ...then they're gonna release Meet The Pyro and give us three a turn with the silly huge top hats. :D
Has anyone made a typical espionage movie luger pistol for the Spy? With one of those cool, weird magazines?
That's a Mauser C69
That's a Mauser C69
Cool. I thought they were called lugers, so I googled luger and found that pic. I'm pretty happily oblivious when it comes to gun knowledge.
That's a Mauser C69
C96. Also, fun fact: the red 9 on the grip means the Mauser in the picture is chambered for 9x19mm Luger cartridge. That's likely the reason why you got it in the search Deo.

If they are bad, please suggest something.

hey, what about something like this or this?
So i've been playing minecraft lately.

My suggestions: please don't make it paintable, or if you really want to, don't make it paint the whole vest. Focus on a small, more discrete spot. If you let the whole vest be colored Slate, a RED Engineer will totally look like he's from BLU. Maybe you were thinking in painting the red colored borders of the vest in your pictures, which might be the most logical solution, but you should try a couple of tests. I think painting the borders will still lead to confusion, it's up to you. And yeah, I don't know what I would name it either. I only come up with bad names. Safe Reflection? :v: Don't worry anyway, if it gets in the game, Valve will get it a different name.
