Too bad about the extra compression, unavoidable though unless vavle fixes it using their uncompressed textures

Still, the vests aren't different colors for both teams, so you could just edit it then copy it over.
Ooh, clever. I made a similar edit when I was developing the bombs, but didn't give them the VTF because of double compression as Blaholtzen mentioned.

one could copy all but the blue parts, they would still get more compressed but it's better with a little extra compression than a lot of it
best thing would be for vavle to do it though

If its a bottle replacement for example it doesnt make much sense to use the shieldbash stripes and the awful impact from the mailbox which is firebased.

That could use some better textures, it shines like plastic
scratch that just opened it the entire thing needs some serious remaking :X It clips badly with his face when his face flexes and the texture's pretty bad overall

Yeah, reposition the lighting a tad so it catches less shadows and more light. You could also tweak the .vmt to reduce that rimlighting on the top.
