I'm afraid I don't really like the layout - it's a bit too complex and claustrophobic - there don't seem to be many big open spaces, and there are at least 4 different height levels on top of each other :/
Some of this might come together once some more of the textures and props are added, but I'm worried that'll only add to the confusion...
(I don't know if I've missed some big thread/post or something explaining more about the map, if I have then adjust accordingly)
On the other hand, just getting a map this far is still a pretty good achievement, and you'll only get better!

Pulled this out of my old c model improvement pack:

As you can see, "v_machete" or the view model smd for the Kukri is the main body model, while "w_machete", or the world smd for the Kukri, is set to lod 1. Hope this helps. If you want them to have different materials as you can see here, it should be fairly easy given your weapon only uses one material. You apply the texture used for the view model to the world model in whatever modeling program you use, then use "replacematerial" to replace the texture with the texture meant for the world model so it renders correctly once it comes into view.

You are not supposed to have that, as far as I can remember Benjamin put that on the TDC fast download server and people ended up downloading it. It was never made for public consumption.
