I redid the hat, no worries.
It looks fine in HLMV, but in the item test map it doesn't work. D: Should I continue on and submit the motherfucker tomorrow, or first fix the fact that it's completely gone in-game, even when it's loaded properly, the textures are fine and coded properly, and it works fine in HLMV?

I'm having a problem with getting something paintable. I have tried changing the alpha several times, but it always ends up with the entire item being hued. How do I stop this?

it would require some different coding for Equip Regions
it's not impossible, mind you, but it's not as simple as just putting the regions in the style section only (since styles only accept visuals as far as I know)

Actually, I wonder if you could get the 2 helmets shown to animate hotrod style, like get Valve to implement it as it wouldn't work as a mod, like when the medic uber or pulls out his melee and when the demo is using his sticky launcher or something

I don't think the wrench looks unique enough, the shotgun is a rivet gun? i dont like the classic grip on the shotgun if so, seems out of place.

Without them outright backpedaling to recode how equip regions interact with styles, the closest implementation would be sorta hackish by making the styles their own explicit items that share an item ID and other information except for which style they are and their equip region. Kinda like the difference between Sam & Max Lugermorph and Poker Night Lugermorph, except getting some equip region differences. It'd have a side effect of having 1 item in the backpack per style, but it would also allow style toggling at the equip menu instead of needing to go to the backpack for that. However, that opens a can of worms when you mix customization into there because suddenly tags and paints would need to apply to more than 1 item at once, plus there'd be some discrepancies if a single item with styles turns into 3-4 different items and people try to craft them into other hats.
Kind of a mess if they don't backtrack to clean things up from the get-go. :v:

I've always wanted Ze Goggles to do that when he deploys uber. But looking at how snugly its on his head, I don't think it would work without scrunching his skull. Unlike the Hotrod, which doesn't have a strap on the back as far as I know, it just floats on his face.
