I apologize. I was just remembering my old account, it had been compromised twice and a little after I got my account back the second time I got VAC'd and Valve did nothing about it short of replying to my Steam Support tickets with automated messages*.
*That were generated 5 days after I sent in the ticket.

At least Valve knows you. If a top contributor had their account hacked and Valve did little-to-nothing to help solve it, it'd get them a lot of bad press.

Hardware lock? If I'm guessing at the implications correctly, how would you upgrade your system? Or does it just go by specific pieces? And what of traveling? Or would that still use the "email me a code" system in place?
