How about you use your modelling skills to improve the Scottish Resistance? As in, make a better model for it which isn't as blocky (and low-res) in firstperson view?

About publishing stuff to the workshop, itemtest (the SDK thing, not the map) sucks major balls, it looks like it was designed specifically for hats and not weapons since it seems to put everything in a folder located in player/items, which is where wearables normally go. So I don't really know where to start, do I really have to keep the same folder structure as a zip file generated by itemtest or can I take some liberties as long as the model is easy to compile? Also does Valve accept SMD files instead of DMX files? And what about weapons with custom bodygroups and projectiles?

Skew the side handles so they aren't parallel with the floor, say 30 degrees anti clockwise? make the part of the barrel with the side handles off-center up or down with the main shaft of the rivet gun? might need to be repositioned a little to fix clipping if you do that though
