Arguing that a slower fire rate is an upside because of the accuracy cool down. Ya that sounds like the garbage I read on spuf sometimes.
Regardless, beta is beta, it's all just testing.
so I'm still confused on that the dropping detail means.

Here's a crosspost for you:
Your drops are unaffected regardless of which game you are playing. Playtime in both games go towards the same drop system, which means that you don't double your drop time, you merely can get your drops through either game.
Think of it like this word problem:
Every time you go to the store, you are allowed by buy 10 apples with your allowance money. Now you can buy apples for the same price from a different store, but you can still only get 10 apples total.
Does beta still have it's own drops though?
Here's a crosspost for you:
oh....well that's slightly less fun then I was thinking it was.
So you'd rather propagate the introduction of more Soda Popper-esque weapons? Where a reward is given without having to do anything in return to achieve it?
Fine. But don't start complaining when we get Rocket Launchers that mini-crit while rocket jumping.
when the fuck did I say that
what the fuck are you talking about
who the fuck is you
Here's a crosspost for you:
Wait
You mean that KGB I just dropped in the beta is a lost drop?
Why would you put a cap on drop in a game that was made for TESTING PURPOSES
ARE YOU TRYING TO BUILD AN ECONOMY
ON A BETA
WITHOUT TRADING?!

What they should have done in the TF2beta is just give everything to everyone, so that people can actually test the things that are being changed instead of needing to wait for items to drop so they can use them.
Nothing interesting in the schema
also no crits so it's balanced
this means i can idle twice on a week? or the week cap is for both beta and retail?
Next up: Trading items to your normal TF2.
fuck my life
i traded my 3 beta unusuals
this means i can idle twice on a week? or the week cap is for both beta and retail?
looks like the same cap for both, it seems they share drops now.
so, by "mini-crits when it would crit" would that mean if a Medic krtized you, it would only mini-crit?
the "get drops from playing the beta" thing was promised last year, about time
I will redownload the beta, I can see myself playing it more than the actual game
They still need to make it so you can alter the items_game.txt
Like seriously. Not even making it so that you have to do that bullshit with the text document, just make it a feature in itemtest or some shit.
looks like the same cap for both, it seems they share drops now.
Thank god.
Now I don't have to install another couple gigs for 12 more weapons a week.
I'd probably play the Beta again if they actually used it more extensively. Balance multiple weapons, find new stats for existing boring +% -% ones people only use because they got ~*~Strange~*~ versions of it.
After that's done, how about another fun experiment like double health for everyone? It was really fascinating to see the effects, I really wanted to find out and play.
[editline]17th April 2012[/editline]
Crits are part of the game, Valve doesn't balance for special game modes. Imagine the extra work for a team that doesn't even add community-contributed fixes for years old bugs and glitches.
I think the nocrit attribute should be Cow Mangler-ish where you can't even get kritzed.
you know the mangler only has that because it can't crit glow right?
Unlike the other weapons that can't crit glow, the Mangler is a primary weapon of one of the most krit boosted classes in the entire game (so it's important that it reads)
[editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
I'd be hesitant to install Crimecraft and/or give them any sort of info

That reminds me of something I sent to Brandon back when it was first added.

And nothing came of it :C

Pomson.
:EDIT:
Okay so Engie isn't critboosted often, it's still a Primary weapon.
Bradon isn't on the TF team anymore
try F00l, Eric or Jeep

Crit glows fine for me

I emailed him back when he was still a part of the TF team. I'll try sending to the entire TF team with the contact form on the valve website.

To be fair, AVA is actually fun and I've never had any problems from having it installed.
