Remove the tracking ability(or rework it to just distance based single life same class), have health packs it picks up respawn in half the time and give it a vulnerability to fire(2x) and sniper rounds(1 shot 10% charge to kill without headshot).
After some debuffs to it's abilities it would be a funny melee specialist class(it's only decent upgrade is it's rocket bite anyways) which tf2 should have.

There are several grammatical and spelling errors. The original page is a joke that valve liked and posted, some people think they may turn it into something real like the jarate joke.

I'd feel bad if I shot the dog and it whimpered. I felt bad doing it in Fallout 3 as well, even though the dogs were hideously ugly and mutated.
Setting the dog on fire sounds like it would be running around the map yelping too ;_;
this can only work as a sentry unlock- hit your furry to upgrade it

I liked that idea. It would be easy to make the sentry dog to mimic what you do.
I thought it would be cool if it was a robot, like at tier 1 it looks like a puppy, with robotic legs and an oversized "Head" of a tier 1 sentry.
At level 2 it gets bigger legs and a bigger body, and its head changes shape a bit to look more like a canines, and it gets antenna like ears.
At level 3 it gets buffed out and looks like a Mastiff or a Bulldog.
As for weapons, I guess a tier 1 puppy sentry could shoot one bullet at a time, but is weaker than actual tier 1 sentry, and since its mobile, it has to actually move its legs to turn around and shoot, etc. Maybe tier 2 gets those 2 tri barrel things and the ability to maul players, and tier 3 gets some small rockets for added speed, or some actual missile weapons mounted on its back.
The bot_mimic command can make bots do what you do, so I can see it being easy to make your dog sentry follow you, and maybe it will shoot where you shoot, just like Bot_mimic. And also perhaps allow it some passive defensive skills like a sentry has as well, so your robot dog can also watch your back.
Just my idea.
Oh, here's a bonus idea: If its master dies while its still alive, the dog gains 150% attack bonus so it can avenge its master, and if it survives until you respawn, it will make its way back to you.
It's obviously not real, regardless of that fact it's a really good idea. I mean Jesus it's the only thing the community's been talking about in the last 3 days and pretty much everything I've read has been positive.
I can't think of any reason to include it other than the fact TF2's fairly balanced with 9 classes, but testing needs to happen at least.

Even though it's fake, I expect a Gmod ragdoll of the Gaurd Dog would probably be popular for use in comics, etc.
