there's some exploit where you can take, say, a TF2 server's IP, spoof it as your own, and use that to send some data to a CoD server, and being how that game works, it'll send back a much larger amount of data to the IP it recieved from, basically DoSing the TF2 server
was asking if this doesn't happen anymore seeing as it ignores fake IPs now

I thought that exploit was fixed a long time ago

Devnull spoofs an IP for the Call of Duty servers to send information from. The spoofed IP is generally the target/victim's IP address. The Call of Duty servers have legitimate IP addresses. This Source engine change will not fix an exploit that exists in a different game engine.

I thought that was a legitimate bug.
Regardless, they have yet to fix the grenade bottles appearing when out of Pyroland and the Sandvich and Buffalo Steak Sandvich appearing as medium medkits regardless if in Pyroland or reality.

I did have a few times where pyrovision would randomly fully enable in a deathcam. Those were odd.

A hard scripted fix to it might be to add

It would force it to use on-kill strange ranks. It's not how most regular weapons do it, but this doesn't seem to want to work on its own. Or this might make it so it counts tickles actually. I'm not familiar with how the strange stuff works, so I took the code that wasn't related to tickling from the mittens, but maybe the two rely on each other :x
basically, I don't think this fix would work actually, just an idea.
