Durr, but they can be succesfully played at a lower level too, sure, they have the highest skill ceiling, but the Average Joe can do alright with Solly too.
This is how I see it:
Pyro is the easiest to pick up, easy to master.
Soldier is moderately easy to pick up, but highly difficult to master.
Scouts are moderately easy to pick up, moderately easy to master.
Spies are hard to pick up, difficult to master.
Spy is most rewarding to master. 2 points a kill (on backstab), plus a shit ton more when taking out nests are put in the equation.

Most players who play scout do badly until they clock in two dozen hours or so. Scouts require the most skill at aiming (probably even more than snipers, since snipers are far away from their targets. they can miss however much they want and not be in danger), intelligent use of the speed and double jump, vast knowledge of the map, and knowing when to back out of bad situations. Scouts usually can't rely on medics. If they have the sandman equipped, they're the weakest class in the game. They have a terrible loadout unless it's used by an extremely skillful player. All the scout has is a shotgun and a pistol. Not very devastating unless utilized properly.
The only thing scouts tend to do that I would consider easy is flanking (which is easy as any class, so that point is moot) and capping points. Otherwise, the scout is the most frail class in the game and it's probably the worst class for any newbie to play as.
Soldiers are pretty easy to pick up and do well with, pyros are the definitive newbie class, demoman is okay if you spend your time spamming shit or cutting heads off, heavy is easy but not very efficient, medic is easy to pick up and play, and sniper is easy to pick up and play but not particularly easy to do well with (unless you just bodyshot). Spies are the only other class I'd consider an advanced class, but the biggest challenge with him is getting behind enemy lines. Once you're there, backstabs are really easy to get. Anybody can get backstabs.

Anyway, I'm used to hearing "wtf" after I rocket jump.
I guess there's nothing really stupid I remember. Only that once there was a guy, on Harvest, there were 4 people in the server. I got killed by a Sniper in the enemy team, so I went Spy and killed him, he went like "NOOB FAG YOU WENT SPY JUST SO I DONT SEE U". He went pyro and started flaming everything right from spawn as I watched cloaked, and kept daring me to go as Sniper. We all went sniper for some reason. Me and my teammate dominated the 2 Snipers on the enemy team, and when I was taunting for my teammate, he went on the same place we were killing him and said "SEE AT THIS RANGE I WIN"
We dominated him again and he rage quit
"Hold on medic, let me eat my chocolate, it'll help the overcharge"
"When is Valve going to VAC all the idlers?"
