Throw away that shit modem/router and get a decent new one, i also had that model and always had problems when connecting to source servers (TF2/L4D).

Or upgrade the router firmware and give it another try, which one you have at the moment?

I updated the firmware and the problems kinda went away unless the wireless is being used, since this model is so bad after a while the shit will overheat and restart the modem.

Someone said it already but call your internet provider. My router would disconnect every 5 minutes and we called Comcast and after a lot of convincing they finally replaced our router. My download speed shot up by like 10 mbps and I haven't had any disconnection problems since.

I have the same problem. It affects all PCs in my house simultaneously so we believe it is a router issue or an ISP issue.

I think i know the solution, this happens on BE routers too and since o2 and BE are the same network i assume the router might be the same. Anyway try this.

4. Open it in Notepad. Go to Edit , Find and search for appconfig application=GAME(UDP)

You should see three entries regarding UDP. You need to change them to:

appconfig application=GAME(UDP) trace=enabled timeout=3
appconfig application=CONE(UDP) trace=enabled timeout=3
appconfig application=LOOSE(UDP) trace=enabled timeout=3

Now again, go to Edit , Find and this time search for timerconfig timer=udpidle

You should change this entry to:

timerconfig timer=udpidle value=3

5. Save that user.ini file to the desktop. Switch back to the Speedtouch router page and select Restore Configuration Now....

6. Use the router dialog to locate and select the user.ini file that you have modified. The router should upload the file.

7. Once configuration is uploaded, restart your router and all 'Connection Problem' or Server list crashes or Restarting of the BeBox due to UDP flooding in CSS and other games should be FIXED.

Also does this only happen once for every server? this worked for me when i would get disconnected after 30 sec in the game and i would have to wait until i time out in the server, then i would join back and it would work just fine.

Maybe you should try doing what I did. Buy one of those 2.4 Ghz wireless cards, not those cheap little USB ones.

If thats not the case then just contact your ISP.
