Man, I really want a strange Shahanshah. Hopefully it comes soon.
After-death kills.
So, afterburn kills while you're dead yourself.
Or bleed kills.
Ahh. I see. Thanks.

I hope its not gonna be overpriced. I want a strange detonator.
There's apparently Full Moon kills part - Strange Razorback MKII.
- Fixed a bug that caused many avatar images to not show up in the scoreboard
Glad to see this one. My avatar was looking pretty lonely for a while.
Bug fixes are always nice. Not too interested in that towel though.

It's late that's for sure
"can_be_equipped_by_soldier_or_demo" "1"
"can_deal_critical_damage" "1"
Looks like crit kills and Soldier vs Demoman strange parts are coming eventually, both of these stats are now tracked.
And also "Kills Under A Full Moon" was added as a strange counter, but isn't used by anything. Maybe we'll be seeing Strange Headtaker, Wanga Prick and Unarmed Combat?
The Blue Balls Update: You thought there was going to be a climax after we had Meet the Pyro in the Portal 2 video, didn't you?
what the fuck
the towel DOES have craft numbers
:/
It's late that's for sure
I know, I was foolish for posting and not thinking it over. how this post is probably going to play out.

Only further proves my point that they have no idea what theyre doing, considering again, the item before it has no numbers.
Maybe they're testing something.
"Hey, how about we have craft numbers for half the items?"
"Why not all of them?"
"Science, my good friend. Science..."
you know they just copy and paste a similar item's schema entry and then edit it for the new item, right?
So for this item they just copied a craft numbered item (probably the Cold War Luchador) and then edited it, never removing the craft number part. Last week they probably copied the Heel Biters.
the maker still doesnt have the self made version
I'd say,
Gym Rat (obviously)
One Man Army
Pugilist's Protector
Heavy Duty Rag
Football Helmet
AND MAYBE Dread Knot
cranium
dont diss

They make craft numbers, then starting with the Lucky Shot, theyre gone. Then when the Nine Pipe Problem comes out, they came back. Then with the Texas Half Pants theyre gone, now with the towel theyre back.
No, theres no logic behind this. They want people to craft away their resources hoping for a number only to get dissapointed.
Apparently, sandwich/steak can't extinguish teammates.
Neither can flamethrowers headshot.
They should fix stuff like this IMO.
EDIT: Yeah, and sappers don't work with posthumous part.
If someone's able to, could someone check to see if the Widomaker was affected by the change to on-hit effects.
I know for certain that the Ubersaw, Blutsauger, Black Box, and Concheror were affected because they were just recently able to, but Widowmaker has been able to get metal from buildings since its release, so it's currently unknown if it affected that weapon.
>Strange Part Allies Extinguished
Finally something useful.

please no
I love killing buildings with it

Sandvich and Steak Sandvich don't have strange variants, it'd be completely ineffective to add the extinguishing teammate parameter.
And they just forget that flamethrowers can headshot. It's just that it's 1 projectile out of very many, easy to forget about.

Posthumous kills.
Sappers can't kill.

you're giving Valve too much credit.
They copy and paste code and sometimes they copy items with craft numbers, and sometimes they don't. They probably don't even remember craft numbers are a thing they added.
And once the item is released, they can't add craft numbers to it.
There's no underlying plot or reason. It's just laziness.
Sandvich and Steak Sandvich don't have strange variants,
Totally forgot about this.
/sappers can destroy buildings after you die
cranium goes best with the towel
we knows its true
/sappers can destroy buildings after you die
Apparently you don't understand what "kill" means.
Player ceasing to live, they must wait out the respawn. Buildings don't die, they are destroyed. The Strange Part is only coded to track post-death kills and kills only.
They've added strange part tags to all the special weapons in the schema? Does this mean things like the HHH will be strange soon, or just they will be using the tags for things more than strange parts?

Yeah, that's why it is currently not possible to use posthumous kills on sapper.
I've never said it is possible, I'm just demanding it to be possible.
/and if they could make strange dead ringer/jarate/medigun, this shouldn't be a big deal
They've added strange part tags to all the special weapons in the schema? Does this mean things like the HHH will be strange soon, or just they will be using the tags for things more than strange parts?
Idunno maybe?
/and if they could make strange dead ringer/jarate/medigun, this shouldn't be a big deal
That's because they explicitly coded those things to track something different from the standard "kills" that everything except a select few track.
The Sapper is no different in the sense that it tracks buildings destroyed.
However, the strange part is hardcoded to only track post-death kills. They would need another strange part to track posthumous destructions because the odds of them actually changing how a strange part works is slim to none.
