Fire Resistant suit will put the spycheckers out of work ! :D
I don't like the idea of weapons lowering the Medic's health. He needs all he can get. However, the damage nerfs are fine. They should go with those. Also, the Spy's first suit is really dumb. The problem with being on fire isn't the damage, it's the fact that you can't get away. The second suit would actually be useful. It wouldn't be OP, either. The Spy loses one of his counters, fine, but he also loses his only ranged attack, which only magnifies his other counters (Scouts, turning around, listening, general awareness).
The suit thing for the spy will suck. I mean, he doesn't go on fire? Come on now. Fire is the number one reason spies die, and you're willing to remove it? The -25% chance of being ignited isn't any better. I think -10% is reasonable. The ubersaw, I'd hate to see it do -25 hp on each hit. The -25% damage is good, however. For the Blaughtsaugter, all I can say is wow.
This is interesting, I guess. Then again, I have no idea what we're talking about.
they should buff the syringe gun and bonesaw, not nerf the unlocks. OH YOU FUCKING NINJA
No they SHOULD nerf BLOODSUCKER. I play the fucking medic all the time and I tell you it IS overpowered. I however agree that ubersaw doens't need nerfing.
I wish they could find better ways to nerf things instead of just taking away your health.
I always heal people, then I move away from them/they die, and go shooting with bloodsucker. After like 5 kills streaks, I always wonder why I even bother healing when I can just kill them directly.

Even if we're talking strictly about class v. class matchups, the Scout is far more deadly. They're too fast to backstab, hard to shoot, and can kill a Spy in half the time a Pyro can.

The thing about the pyro is that the igniting the spy alerts everyone else to who and where the spy is, even if they're cloaked.
I really don't think the spy needs a fire retardant suit.
The pyro doesn't have to reload and can practically one hit you (as a spy). It's next to impossible to survive as a spy if a pyro is running around spy checking every corner.
I don't like these. Especially not the last one. It makes the heavy non-heavy.
which is the worst melee weapon in the entire game outside of backstabs- is a really huge tradeoff, so eliminating that threat isn't overpowered IMO.
Which makes it the best melee weapon in the entire game due to facestabs
Wow what the fuck, a fireproof suit? What the shit are they thinking?
Why are there so few people who think the Blutsauger is a little overpowered? Before the medic update I always said what a good weapon the needlegun is. The bonesaw also doesn't need a buff.
No spy with dignity would ever use that suit. People would catch on to it and start getting paranoid all the time, due to people not igniting straight away. Spy checking will go up. Not to mention the loss of the revolver.
Dawww valve be nerfing my upgrades >:O
Right, but losing your only ranged weapon and limiting yourself to the knife- which is the worst melee weapon in the entire game outside of backstabs- is a really huge tradeoff, so eliminating that threat isn't overpowered IMO.
They should make it a new cloak instead. No ignite to flames, but you move like 33% slower while cloaked. Maybe not that extreme, but there's really no need to get even more failspies to ignore the revolver.
hope they don't implement those nerf's in the real game
I personally think both the Needlegun and the Blut need a nerf, Battle Medics are the absolute worst.
They nerfed the blutsager and ubersaw? Well I'm never playing medic ever again. The needlegun and bonesaw just needed a buff. Also the spy suit is awful, but at least it'll be easy to kill noob spies, but at least the GRU is actually decent now.
They nerfed the blutsager and ubersaw? Well I'm never playing medic ever again.
These pictures are outdated and were just various tests by valve, they're not at all what the end result will be. Valve are now focusing on buffing the original weapons in minor ways and adjusting the downsides of the unlocks to fit that.
They nerfed the blutsager and ubersaw? Well I'm never playing medic ever again.
Why? The Medic is a class built for healing, not combat. He should never be without a patient and should only use his other weapons to get to another patient or kill spies.
Why? The Medic is a class built for healing, not combat. He should never be without a patient and should only use his other weapons to get to another patient or kill spies.
That's like saying the demoman is a defense class so he shouldn't rush the enemy.

Maybe we should make it so that his ubersaw breaks after its first attack, or that his syringe gun gives spies 100% crits for 4 seconds when hit, or maybe we just shouldn't give him weapons at all! He'll just have his buddy to protect him, and if a spy shows up, he can just shout "SPY!"

[editline]03:13PM[/editline]
That's like saying the demoman is a defense class so he shouldn't rush the enemy.
I wouldn't really know much about the Demoman considering i've only played a half hour as him, but isn't he the subject of a lot of "overpowered" accusations?
Only if it had a major downside to even it out. Perhaps added vulnerability to shotguns? That would make it harder to fish out with the flamer, but both soldier, engineer and pyro could take him down easier with their shotguns.
The suit takes place of revolver, so the spy can't really fight back.
I wouldn't really know much about the Demoman considering i've only played a half hour as him, but isn't he the subject of a lot of "overpowered" accusations?
The only people who said that were on Steam Forums and should be ignored.
