What the fuck are you talking about, the revolver is the best way of killing pyros and snipers w/ razorback.
Well, my thinking was if the Spy can't ignite, it makes it a bagillion times easier to just cloak and flee from Pyros.
But judging from the number of boxes my post received, I gonna go ahead and say this is not the popular opinion.
Oh god. Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod.
NOT THE BLUTSAGER/UBERSAW!
Also, does the fire-retardant suit strike anyone else as over powered? I mean, no one really uses the Revolver (if they're a good Spy :v:), and the ability to be invulnerable to ignition would make it much easier to Spy.
A good spy could stand his own against pretty much any class with the revolver in a stand up fight.
Did you guys not see the guy that said those pics are outdated?

Saw him, they stopped arguing over the Medic stuff.
the Blutsuager and the Ubersaw are like upgrades
I've never seen a medic using the normal nedleegun
Buff normal weapons or Nerf the unlocks.
Let me quote KingKombat:

Hooray for the spy suit.
Powered by pyro tears.
Dear Valve:
Why fix something that ain't broke?
Is it because the players make it look like it's broke?
ahdashdfggh No just let us good medics heal and battle at the same time.
[editline]11:00PM[/editline]
I shouldn't have to rely too much on my healing buddy to kill one player and JUST ONE PLAYER that I can't even kill with nerfed damage.
what If my healing buddy dies?
What if I can't kill a player just because of nerfed damage?
I'm not sure if I'd be prepared to give up my Revolver. We'll just see what happens when they get released
Can't see the first pic!
It just shows the spy with no revolver, Like if its invisible, and the item picture is a wrench. O_o
Also, If im late, give me clocks.
These nerfs sound horrible and unnecessary
Actually, Maybe if you reduce the fire speed and reload speed of the blutsauger maybe I wouldn't be a bad nerf.
I am very interested in that non-ignitable suit.
Not because I'd use it, I love revolvers far too much to do so, but because of the ways it'd effect other classes.
- Razorback could finally become a viable unlock, since there would be a type of Spy that could only give a Razorback Sniper mean looks as he passes by.
- Pyros could still root out these Spies; since the ability is being borrowed from the Pyro itself, and even the Pyro has a burning effect go off when hit with enemy flames.
- If the above Pyros loadout is Flaregun/Axestinguisher, then the resulting encounter may then be the melee equivilant of sissy slaps. This gives Pyros that love the Flaregun a fairly good reason to consider the normal fireaxe.
And I know it's a beta, thus visuals aren't that big an issue at the moment, but are there any ideas yet on how to show that a Spy is sporting the flameproof suit? Different skin used, additions to the model a-la Razorback, stuff like that?
From what I can gather, there are two types of suits they're testing Pennywise...
One is like the Pyro's, only contact damage. This allows Spies to be less obvious.
The other is completely IMMUNE to fire. This BREAKS Pyro Spy checking entirely.
Let's see which one the team likes more.

I seem to do fine with sappers and my knife, along with good cloaking strategy. About the only thing I use the revolver for is for dealing with Razorback snipers, and I usually just leave them alone anyway because they're a waste of time and an excellent opportunity for another one of their teammates to come around and kill me. Other than that, sure, it's saved my ass a couple times, but not to the point where I'd be defunct without it. Maybe I don't play the same way as you do, but that doesn't make me a terrible spy. Thanks for the amusing picture, though.
I have come to the conclusion that I would not give up my revolver for a fireproof suit.
If the ambassador didn't use the revolver slot, I'd gladly replace that though.
I'm shit with the ambassador, only ever had like 1 headshot with it, while I've gotten ALOT of kills since I started using the revolver.
For one, with his weapons nerfed, the medic is useless. They're not very good anyway. And secondly, the demoman is underpowered.
His weapons SHOULD be useless to encourage the medic to stick around his teammates.
I really don't think the spy needs a fire retardant suit.
Simply because you are a W+M1 pyro.
No Medic who is worth a damn will EVER sacrifice ANY health for just a chance to boost uber or +3 health per hit.
Wow I have to say that every single one of those is lame. Other than the fire suit thing which even then makes me wonder if I have to hold the flame over the spy longer for him to catch fire or if it just extinguishes faster.

Not immune, you still burn but take minimal damage from it.
The non-ignitable suit sounds interesting, but don't know if I want to loose my primary weapon. I know I sometimes shoot engineers who try to build sentries where no one is around. They are busy whacking it so it's a free kill.

Uh...
"Wearer cannot ignite" is the pyro effect.
"90% less firedamage" isn't immune.
Ugh, d'ajnin
So what if they can't ignite you, if you collide with them they'll chase you to the ends of the earth and kill you somehow.
I hate all these health decrease nerfs.

Dead Ringer becomes twice as useful.

Actually if he is capable of a good score with only the sapper and the knife, I'd call him a bloody good spy.
I'd just use the suit just to see what it's like
I remember that I used to hate the dead ringer, but then I discovered BATTLE SPY!
I think the main reason I'd use the suit is to make engies even more paranoid.
"Revealed"
I want to know the source for this.

There was posted a Something Awful forum link a few pages back
Just a quick question. Who plays this TF2 beta and how did they get to it? I'm sure it isn't available for normal people.
