Actually, this is what has been suggested the whole time.
Blutsauger relies on the Syringes to regain health, and normal has a regen buff. I think that it's a decent trade off, and this has been thrown around on the steam boards for a while. I like this. And this is someone who has spent most of their TF2 life playing Medic.

The sandvich should have a regeneration time when you drop it, you shouldn't have to go back to the supply locker to get another one.
You can grab a medkit if you're already fully healed

This new sandvich actually adds quite a bit of griefing potential.

While that was annoying, to be sure, there's nothing better than *Backstab* "BONK!". It gave a reason to disguise as a Scout. I never did when playing seriously, mind, but that doesn't change the hilariousness of it.
Why do so many people don't get that the only thing they changed about the Blutsauger is that it can crit now?

I'm in love with the new 3h/s recharge thing. If a Pyro runs in and flames you, the after burn damage is more or less halved, if not greater than half. It really increases the chances of you surviving an encounter with a Pyro.
It's nice that there's finally a choice in the matter.

The Blutsauger was buffed. It is the same exact way as it was before, difference being you can now crit with it. That's a buff.

I love how they buffed the Blutsauger. I play medic all the time so I'm totally happy with that. I was being attacked bu a heavy and was like "oh snap I'm going to die", then suddenly, CRITS. I was confused at first, but I like this.

THIS UPDATE INCREASES HEALTH REGEN TO 3 PER SECOND
THE NEW BLUTSAUGER CHANGE MAKES IT BETTER THAN IT WAS

The Medic had a healing ramp that was one per second for a short time but increased to 3 per second max before the update. Now the Blut just lets you regen less. The medic always had 3hp/sec regen after the first few seconds before this update.

If you were smart enough to read atleast 2 of the posts in this thread before posting you'd know it was buffed, not nerfed.
To be honest, I've always wanted to crit with the Blutsauger. You don't need to flee from a pyro who has a face full of life-leeching critneedles.
