Very interesting. This Heavy Pack http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=16390 The Miningun and the cosmetics were updated last week. The other items were all updated in May. The pack is very old, and has consistently been top rated. ...hmm
I like everything but the minigun. I mean, yeah, it looks awesome, but imagine how hard it would be to distinguish that minigun from the stock one.

I couldn't even confuse it with Natascha.

Just saw the belt around the barrel, yeah pardon me, it seems actually pretty distinguishable. Soo, any hope of an update soon?" besides that email somebody got, there haven't been any hints about anything really. Here's hoping for one tonight, although chances are small. Also, am I the only one who doesn't really get excited for major iupdates recently? It's just a few weapons and tons of hats/miscs. I appreciate the effort but hats/miscs instead of weapons are getting old.
Did you move out (or are coming close to becoming the legal age to not listen to your parents)?
I'm moving out soon for my next year at college, not really related to tf2 though so I'll not add much more on that subject. Who else here tried that VS bots mode where you defend a point alone? It's pretty damn nice and helps build hype for the update.
still pretty early, but we're reaching that special time of the week.
well, the schema updates and server strings are pretty big hints. Hell, the server strings seem to imply that the update of mvm will be so much more/so different from what we previously expected.
I want to be belive tonight's t.... but nope, I am thinking hoping in weeks now. Plus I think they will release MTP/TOBOR/Saxxies as separate updates
I would LOVE a new Minigun with good stats, unlike the Brass Beast
I would LOVE a new Minigun with good stats, unlike the Brass Beast
Are you implying the brass beast is not a good weapon? Because really the tomislav would've been a better example for that matter.
unlike the... well every unlock minigun has problems :(
Pew-pew star wars lazer boolets minigun anyone? EDIT: ie, Grordbort minigun. Stats may suck, but the aesthetics should be cool.
Remove the spinup penalty of the Natascha, increase the damage of the BB, and give a damage penalty to the Tomislav so it doesn't win against the Natascha if both Heavies are already firing. Balanced!
Pew-pew star wars lazer boolets minigun anyone? EDIT: ie, Grordbort minigun. Stats may suck, but the aesthetics should be cool.
Probably never gonna happen, I would just like something good for a secondary that doesn't require eating.
Are you implying the brass beast is not a good weapon? Because really the tomislav would've been a better example for that matter.
Tomislav is a bit too good and I don't think that would make a good example. Brass Beast is just something that I would never use, I can be much better with any other Minigun and I just don't really see a use to it besides defending, but then again I can still defend better with the other Miniguns by sneaking behind them or something.
I would LOVE a new Minigun with good stats, unlike the Brass Beast
I used to think it was terrible until I discovered you could absolutely wreck with it given the right circumstances.

And by the way, the purpose of the brass beast is riding the cart.
noodleboy , evrytime i see your avatar i stare at it for like a minute , its just , hypnotic
I used to think it was terrible until I discovered you could absolutely wreck with it given the right circumstances.
Well I'll have to try it out sometime, just generally the slowness is unappealing to me in any situation
Tone the slowdown of natascha wayyyyy down, then remove the spinup penalty. This weapon will never be fun for anyone. Slowdown is a bad concept, but it's natascha's thing, so she has to be balanced with it in mind... I guess. Do... something to the Brass Beast. Increased damage doesn't really matter when you're talking a half a second less time to kill something. Granting total knockback resistance while revved is an interesting idea I've heard tossed around. Fix Tomislav's sound effects sometimes playing while revved, then remove the spin bonus.
People use Natascha?
noodleboy , evrytime i see your avatar i stare at it for like a minute , its just , hypnotic
rawr
Also, the Brass Beast lacks synergy with the item set: A primary that is meant to turn you into a wall, and a secondary and melee that turn you into a speedy melee nightmare.
Also, the Brass Beast lacks synergy with the item set: A primary that is meant to turn you into a wall, and a secondary and melee that turn you into a speedy melee nightmare.
Sounds like balance to me....
Also, the Brass Beast lacks synergy with the item set: A primary that is meant to turn you into a wall, and a secondary and melee that turn you into a speedy melee nightmare.
The Secondary and Melee were made with Medieval mode in mind I believe, the Brass Beast, not so much.
Also, the Brass Beast lacks synergy with the item set: A primary that is meant to turn you into a wall, and a secondary and melee that turn you into a speedy melee nightmare.
This. So much this. It's an item set that has no connection between the other items other than the fact that, well, it's defined as in a set. It's not really even in the same style.
Also, the Brass Beast lacks synergy with the item set: A primary that is meant to turn you into a wall, and a melee that turns you into a piece of cardboard
Fix'd
Who uses the Warrior Spirit anyway? But yea, kind of odd he has two huge power based weapons in that set, and then an item that makes him run really fast. But knowing the dark history of the steak, it does make a lot more sense for it to have those stats. [editline]14th June 2012[/editline] Heavy is eating steak and getting high as a kite

it would be silent. The damage difference doesn't matter anyway. Removing the spin bonus would just make it an enhanced reskin. [editline]14th June 2012[/editline] making it a sort of reskin is the only way I see to balance it. The Iron Curtain is the most balanced minigun
Natascha used to be great[sp]ly overpowered[/sp], I still remember running Natascha Heavy on Gullywash in competitive matches and constantly decimating their scouts and medic when they tried to run away.
