The only 2 items I know that are set up for paint but are not paintable, but were also not denied last time, are the Moonman Backpack and the Chieftain's Challenge

If they aren't going to be doing the weapons for those Grordbort sets, they may as well scrap everything and kill the promotion.
Also, the Scout gloves are just another item that won't appear in first person because view models, hue hue hue.

it's so stupid. Instead of one blanket attribute for all footstep sounds, that takes a specific script from the weapon sound script as a paremeter, it's new attributes for every item that does it :|

I got an idea.
Make a fake email. Send the TF Team an email from a "concerned customer" who purchased pink paint for their Hot Dogger, only to see it did not change the paint at all.
Say you are disapointed and you feel cheated out of your money. And you want this resolved by making the Hot Dogger paintable.
Send it not as NeoDement, but just some random player who bought paint that now does not show up.

I think TF2 team has stated on one or more occasions; when it comes to the medic it’s really tough to balance out new items to his arsenal. He is the back bone of the entire team that can promote pushing into enemy territory. So I am not too surprised about the fact all the items are going to turn into cosmetics. Hence why all the promo’s for Quantum Conundrum turned into nothing but cosmetics.
However I think they have another Medigun in testing that was suppose to be released with the uber update. I believe that one will turn out better then the quick-fix. Or at least that is what I am hoping.

I think I got Drex to do that for me once when I wanted Valve to fix the smoothing on the Skullcutter... didn't really go anywhere
we / valve (someone) should have a community contest / event to create a weapon, stats and all
i remember they did that a few times with m:tg, and the results were entertaining.
kind of like the Art Pass contest, except for weapons.
People were making loads of Detonators back in the day. I wonder if JMan was one who did it based on the stats, or if it was just unrelated flaregun Valve made the Detonator.
Also if they have the attributes all done, adding a weapon is no harder than a hat to add to the game, minus the tiny little extra part of a recipe

In regards to payday, I wasn't intending to say I didn't think it'd happen (although I don't find it likely, tbh), just that I think it'd be a bad idea.

Backpack Sound Changes [b](this is where I need your help Facepunch! Don't hold back, these are ridiculously easy to do)[/b]
(All sounds are when an item is shifted in the backpack)
- Rogue's Col Roule makes cloth sounds
- Cozy Camper makes backpack (buff banner) sounds
- Scrap Pack now makes robot sounds
- Prof Pineapples now make jar sounds
Weapon Sound Changes
- Pain Train now sounds like the Equalizer (originally Bottle)
- Objector uses Kurkri sounds (originally whatever the class's weapon used)
- Vita Saw makes Ubersaw sounds (originally bonesaw)
- Amputator makes Bonesaw sounds (Originally Ubersaw)
- Solemn Vow now makes wrench sounds (originally Ubersaw... wait what!?)
- Market Gardener now makes Shovel sounds (originally Equalizer, though it's a shovel)
- Wanga Prick and Your Eternal Reward are now totally silent (They share the same attribute as the Spycicle which is totally silent, yet these two are not)
- Warrior's Spirit now use Equalizer's sounds
- Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker now uses the Horsemann's Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker sounds. (to Valve: This was an incredibly popular change last time, I had to include it again, it makes the Headtaker use the same hit sounds the boss does, and it makes the reskin so much more unique)
Weapon changes
- Third Degree now vaporizes enemies like the Phlog and Manmelter.
- Sun on a Stick, Volcano Fragment and Cozy Camper are now craftable with tokens. They are non-promo weapons with unique stats, the only three that cannot be token crafted
- Soda Popper no longer plays the class select animation (it was showing bag rigging)
Cosmetic Item changes
- Chieftain's Challenge and Moonman Backpack are now marked as paintable (both of their textures support paint, but it's turned off)
- Teufort Toothkickers are now craftable (Them not being craftable seems to be an oversight, as all other items released in weekly updates are craftable)
- Moonman backpack now turns off Pyro's back bodygroup
Equip Region Changes
Tightened restrictions
- Quadwrangler added shirt (it has a shirt in the same spot as Dr Whoa which is also a shirt)
- Special Something for Special Someone added equip region because it lacked one, doesn't conflict with anything
- Added "Medigun Accessories" to Scrap Pack so the Emerald Jarate can't just float there
Looser restrictions
- Removed Face from Whiskered Gent (no more needing to glitch to wear it with the Sight for Sore eyes!)
- Removed Glasses from Sight For Sore Eyes (now it can be worn with anything that was a face item)
- Removed Glasses from Googly Gazer (same as Sore Eyes, opens it up to a lot more items)
- Added new region "Medic_Pipe" and gave the Nine Pipe Problem this region. This means it doesn't conflict with anything except its self. It being lens is kind of odd. It makes sense since it replaces his actual stock glasses, but it doesn't clip with anything because nothing clips with the stock glasses.
Pipe Dream (probably not going to get around to this)
- Shaved off Megabytes of data by converting all previous standard hats into "prefab hat" stripping 4+ lines of strings from each entry.
And here's a novel idea. This time the entire thing will actually be tested by me before shipping! The thought of such a thing! Tested code? WHOA

I highly doubt they will turn down the Scout and Medic Grordbort Weapons.
Wouldn't very fair to tease us with nicely designed models on paper and then only release cosmetics while the two other grockets had both of them. We haven't a new bunch of weapons since Smismass.
And I'm looking forward for at least the Grord Scout Set, the Medic Grord Set, new Pyro weapons and another set for a class OR a few weapons for this and that class.
I know cosmetics are shit easy to release but we need something to chew on for a while. Cosmetics are fleshless bones thrown at us and those who actually play a lot with them are the traders and collectors out there.
