Major Update Speculation Thread V3: Tonight's the Night, forever and always

If Valve introduces another ''randumb'' Pyro set instead of a truly masterpiece like ''15 minutes of Flame'' I'll be seriously disappointed.
15 minutes of Flame needs a secondary item in my opinion, too good to pass up.
one unused attribute I don't get is "slower aim speed" or "faster aim speed"
Since that's controlled entirely via mouse sensitivity. I could see slowing mouse sensitivity on a specific weapon (even though that would be pretty awful and probably fixable via script) but sped up? And why is it an attribute if its entirely useless because of mouse sensitivity options? Or does it do something totally different. Is it an engineer attribute for his sentry? That would make a lot more sense.
Then again this is the company that has an attribute "Lunchbox adds minicrits" which is not that attribute at all, and is a generic attribute needed to overwrite many other base attributes.
I liked that heavy gun that stole health

It could have been for the sniper rifle zoom IMO.
But as it's not ingame, they probably realised slowing walking speed would be better/not useless

I'd say 99% of these attribute work as intended if you hack them onto a weapon.
So how big are the chances of a "large" update today?
your best best for today would be a blog post for day 1, not a major update
Well that would certainly be better than nothing.

There was a list of that somewhere, but I forgot where.
There's interesting stuff, from attributes pretty much everyone knows like the beta Degreaser to attributes noone ever spoke about.
Also tonight is not the night.
added the stuff discussed over the last few days
Community Schema 2.0, Styles Edition! Future changelog I will work on after the next major update cools off!
Backpack Sound Changes
(All sounds are when an item is shifted in the backpack)
- Rogue's Col Roule makes cloth sounds
- Cozy Camper makes backpack (buff banner) sounds
- Scrap Pack now makes robot sounds
- Prof Pineapples now make jar sounds
- Scottish handshake now makes Bottle sounds
- Stahlhelm -> Helmet
- Triclops -> Helmet
- Monoculus -> Squishy
- Manniversary Paper Hat -> Paper
- Party Hat -> Paper
- Googly Gazer -> Robotic
- Liquor Locker -> Crate
- All medals not already set -> Medal
- Disciplinary Action -> Watch (sort of a leathery sound)
Weapon Sound Changes
- Pain Train now sounds like the Equalizer (originally Bottle)
- Objector uses Kurkri sounds (originally whatever the class's weapon used)
- Vita Saw makes Ubersaw sounds (originally bonesaw)
- Amputator makes Bonesaw sounds (Originally Ubersaw)
- Solemn Vow now makes wrench sounds (originally Ubersaw... wait what!?)
- Market Gardener now makes Shovel sounds (originally Equalizer, though it's a shovel)
- Wanga Prick and Your Eternal Reward are now totally silent (They share the same attribute as the Spycicle which is totally silent, yet these two are not)
- Warrior's Spirit now use Equalizer's sounds ("crunchy" sounding, has a lot of force behind the sound)
- Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker now uses the Horsemann's Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker sounds. (to Valve: This was an incredibly popular change last time, I had to include it again, it makes the Headtaker use the same hit sounds the boss does, and it makes the reskin so much more unique)
Weapon changes
- Third Degree now vaporizes enemies like the Phlog and Manmelter.
- Sun on a Stick, Volcano Fragment and Cozy Camper are now craftable with tokens. They are non-promo weapons with unique stats, the only three that cannot be token crafted
- Soda Popper no longer plays the class select animation (it was showing bag rigging)
- Original's "Fires from Center" attribute is now shown as a neutral attribute (many, many people think this is a reskin, so having a listed attribute helps)
- Fixed some attribute percents being confusing (this doesn't affect any calculations or change the weapon in any way, just changing the wording on attributes):
* Changed degreaser afterburn penalty from 25 -> 33
* Changed loch-n-load clip penalty from 60 -> 50
* Changed Ammo on Force-a-Nature and Soda Popper from 60 -> 66
Cosmetic Item changes
- Chieftain's Challenge, Cawkswain's Novelty Pithe Helmet, Map Maker's Medalion, Crest of the Bolgan and Moonman Backpack are now marked as paintable (their textures support paint, but it's turned off)
- Teufort Toothkickers are now craftable (Them not being craftable seems to be an oversight, as all other items released in weekly updates are craftable)
- Sandvich Safe is now decalable (it's texture supports it, it was turned off)
- Added flavor text to the Boombox about its taunt effect
- Moonman backpack now turns off Pyro's back bodygroup
- Added new styles:
Mutton Chops
- With Helmet
- Without Helmet
Big Country
- With Hardhat
- Without Hardhat
Prof Peculiarity
- With Hardhat
- Without Hardhat
Bonk Boy
- With just Earpiece (actually, making this the "Tuned In" style and making hat+earpiece a new style)
- With just Hat (it would be the first hat to do this, a nice resource for skins that want the stock hat, but no earpiece)
Spyer
- RED on BLU and BLU on RED (default)
- RED on RED and BLU on BLU (how it was submitted)
Cop Helmet
- Police + Team Colored
- No Police + Brown
Equip Region Changes
Tightened restrictions
- Quadwrangler added shirt (it has a shirt in the same spot as Dr Whoa which is also a shirt)
- Special Something for Special Someone added equip region because it lacked one, doesn't conflict with anything
- Added "Medigun Accessories" to Scrap Pack so the Emerald Jarate can't just float there
Looser restrictions
- Removed Face from Whiskered Gent (no more needing to glitch to wear it with the Sight for Sore eyes!)
- Removed Glasses from Sight For Sore Eyes (now it can be worn with anything that was a face item)
- Removed Glasses from Googly Gazer (same as Sore Eyes, opens it up to a lot more items)
- Added new region "Medic_Pipe" and gave the Nine Pipe Problem this region. This means it doesn't conflict with anything except itself. It being lens is kind of odd. It makes sense since it replaces his actual stock glasses, but it doesn't clip with anything because nothing clips with the stock glasses.
And here's a novel idea. This time the entire thing will actually be tested by me before shipping! The thought of such a thing! Tested code? WHOA
I would like something tonight, a weekly patch again, a schema update... a mysterious blog post?
they should just make the next blog post an ominous picture.
Maybe like this

No text or anything. We'd probably all flip out
It's nice to think that even if we don't get an update, ned will make one :v:
Cawkswain?
My mysterious source says....
[sp][Redacted][/sp] is the night.
(Censored to protect them)
It's nice to think that even if we don't get an update, ned will make one :v:
it's too bad I can't even start until the major update because we're almost guaranteed to get new strange parts.
And I know they'll add something stupid to the schema ruining the whole thing if I start now. Armisael has been helping me though, the last few days, to see what I can and cannot test, and it seems all of those are able to be tested, and filmed in-game
Cawkswain?
Cockswain doesn't show up on the workshop or SPUF. Last time I just said "Pithe Helmet" because of this, and I believe they tested the fix on Sniper's helmet and it (obviously) didn't work.
Does anything use the scout's dogtag bodygroup?
Does anything use the scout's dogtag bodygroup?
it's just called "Dogtags"
it's just called "Dogtags"
He's asking if anything uses it.
And yes, the Sign of the Wolf's School does.
(apart from the default dogtags)
Sign of the Wolf School and B'Ankh
He's asking if anything uses it.

Oh yeah it does, I thought the chain was longer for some reason.
God I want new weapons so bad. Sniper honestly needs new stuff the most, out of any class. He has the least items. It'd be pretty cool. :>
I want a new smg, so fucking bad.
I think engineer needs a new secondary that's a pistol.
I want a new watch, a new sapper and a new bow.
I want a new watch, a new sapper and a new bow.
Speaking of bow, I hope the new sharpshooter in SMNC has one.
Btw, what could a new bow possibly have?
Are there any other downsides to the machina other than the tracer round and the inability to shoot while unscoped?
Faster new arrow draw speed, slower charge
Slower new arrow draw speed, faster charge
Zoom when pulled back
Faster Projectile Speed
Arrows pierce enemies at full charge
Arrows can't be reflected
Fater/Slower walk speed while pulled back
Poison effect? I know people hate statuses, but it just seems like an easy thing for a new bow.
Are there any other downsides to the machina other than the tracer round and the inability to shoot while unscoped?
It's super loud. This is never listed as an attribute, but really loud weapons are somewhat at a disadvantage.

I can imagine hilarious bugs with poison + fire, like they would stack the wrong way and insta-kill or they'd cancel each other out and you'd pray you never got your arrow lit.
