Major Update Speculation Thread V3: Tonight's the Night, forever and always
or they could ship it with MvM on thursday/friday
listdeaths is being actively used in the wild, so Valve would probably want to ship a fix today.
So we know an update is coming, but we don't know when and what's in it
:suicide:
Welp, it's better than nothing, It's Valve what we're talking about.
or they could ship it with MvM on thursday/friday
I think MvM won't come out until the summer sale. MtP might come out later this week.
I don't know, one of the Christmas 2010 items, it's right under the AoE heal on taunt attribute.
Also another new fix from community schema 2.0 I'm adding
- Fixed a bug where the Black Rose was not properly marked as tradable (Valve had patched it to make it tradable, but did not override the default achievement item behavior)
Speaking of the Black Rose, and I the only one who gets broken team colors when using the Black colored style on it? (Spy's arm appears as RED on BLU team)
Man looking at all these attributes. Why can't they shuffle some of these around and make more weekly weapons?
"flame size bonus"
"disguise speed penalty"
"charged airblast"
"jarate duration"
"mod medic killed marked for death"
"airblast pushback scale"
"mult airblast refire time"
"deflection size multiplier"
"sniper no headshot without full charge"
"reveal disguised victim on hit"

what is listdeaths?
[editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
An update being tonight might make sense with what Jeep said, "Implementing this now, either next update or the next next"
If an update was coming today, he wouldn't necessarily know if he had enough time to implement it today (even if it take upwards of 30 seconds)
"reveal disguised victim on hit"
I don't know what this was, but I bet it was for the Sniper.

If we only get a weekly item this week, I want it to be these

Such a nicely made item, that fits.

The exploit in which Eric talked about. If you spam it over and over again, it'll crash a server. The devs of SMAC already put out a fix for this.
My friend sent me a text about how he just saw a double rainbow.
Tonight is the night.

Someone posted about how they saw a double rainbow yesterday too.

Pics or bullshit

I find it odd that he wouldn't know, unless their testing process is super short (which would explain a lot of things, actually).
Time Management is not Valve's strong point
For pageking, talk about Valve's time management and the message from Eric about listdeaths
It's a command that's supposed to pull up a list of every death that's happened on the server since the last map change. However, it's bugged; if you execute it on a server that has a rather long list of deaths, it crashes the server. This is common place on 24/7 servers and trade servers, where map changes are not needed.
I managed to take down half the Nightteam servers with it. :v:
I was somewhat ninja'd.

I would like to have this actually, even if it is another Scout item.
Or perhaps that similiar item svdl made.

Those are servers actually worth abusing exploits on
Those are servers actually worth abusing exploits on
Sadly, the Skial servers had the command disabled. I just went around from server-to-server using the exploit on any server that plays ads on startup. Worked 80% of the time.

Confusing them with saigns (in terms of where you wanted to exploit it)?
Well this is... working? Sort of?

You might only be able to scale sounds upwards
To entertain you while you wait, another episode of...
Valve: Pants-on-head retarded!
The degreaser deals either 2 or 3 damage per tick. It's random (though weighted to achieve an average of 2.25 damage/tick). However, if damagespread is disabled, it deals 2 damage per tick, every tick.
Why? I'll let you decide. Personally, I think that the randomness is generated using damagespread, but that's purely theoretical.

What confuses me more is that sometimes it deals a random minicrit. At least I hear the sound of a Minicrit.

shit dog
In a hypothetical world where the amputator could play any jingle or sound or voice line or anything from TF2, which "tune" would sound most like "healing magic" ?

That's not how it works.
You have to set the number to the corresponding dsp id inside of dsp_presets.txt inside of the gcf tf/scripts.
At this point you can only use the dsp effects already in there.

well that's not hard...
Confusing them with saigns (in terms of where you wanted to exploit it)?
Yeah, one of those two. I don't remember. The whole exploit finally reminded me to blacklist servers with video ads though.
jesus christ, what am I looking at here, this is jibberish!
In a hypothetical world where the amputator could play any jingle or sound or voice line or anything from TF2, which "tune" would sound most like "healing magic" ?
The optimal choice would be to borrow Chen's "AAAAAALL ARE HEALED" line.
e: or the Holy Handgrenade sound since nobody even wears that hat.
jesus christ, what am I looking at here, this is jibberish!
So, uh, what ARE you looking at exactly? I'm sure plenty of TF2's code is plain jibberish.
