They scrapped Meet the Pyro and are going to release Meet the Soldier 2. The next update will feature the Soldier Warfare Gamemode, where all classes are the Soldier but with different primaries.

Someone in SPUF said that the Medic's mystery solving powers may be a solution to uncovering said mystery about the new items. Perhaps he's right. Perhaps he's a bloody loony. But we're all a touch nutty right now, aren't we?

Apparantly folks in /vg/ are saying these items relate to Telltale, and will probably end up being a promo for Roulette Night at the Inventory or something. I personally think that's a bit farfetched. The diary is just too Pyro-ish.

I'm a little bit disgusted. One of the TF2Outpost [I]moderators[/I] is still trying to get an [URL="http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/2246727"]unusual for his cheese wheel. [/URL] He started the trade back when it might have been reasonable to think these items were rare, but the fact that he's still bumping it this morning is disheartening. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/HNMMq.png[/IMG] The guy who offered the Unusual was probably joking, too: "i offer first born child. possible a heavy duty rag blizz. oh i thought you would want the first born more. fine ill offer the unusual XD." On another trade, the guy said he'd been offered a Max head for his unusual as part of a set before, so I don't think he would have seriously been willing to do the moderator's offer. .milk shut down another trade like this, but I'm afraid to report this one since the moderator in question might see it. Last time I reported a RAWR admin, I got banned from his trade server (and a RAWR caution on SteamRep).

Also, promo items would be in Genuine quality, and wouldn't be tradeable until the game releases.

That and if it was just another lame promo, i think every table in a 10 mile radius would be flipped over from the seething anger it would inflict.

Someone should run extensive experiments on what these things can be crafted together with. THERE MUST BE SOMETHING

I need the Capacitor and the Diary. The diary seems to be ultra rare because someone just said they'd trade a fucking BMOC for it.

I have a feeling they might update tonight too, maybe some recipes or something else. Or we may get a blog post.

It would be great if someone in this thread got their hands on a Secret Diary and Capacitor (along with all the other items). We would be able to craft them all together as soon as there was a crafting recipe.

Wouldn't that be funny if a Mann Co Key could be used on the diary? And by funny, I mean aneurism inducing.

There might not be a crafting recipe but what if crafting them triggers a super mega update? WHAT THEN?

"MYSTERIOUS" in descriptions of items. Possible it is for crafting "Mysterious Promo 3" and "Mysterious Promo 4". Also 22 13 22 - MvM, one of "М" it is "Mysterious"?
