Wow look at me, lurking for months facepunch, checking all those cool tf2 items and reading all about you guys, then one night i just simply decided to join the badwagon for the sake of pocket junk.
You can never go wrong with a cheese wheel.
I'm optimistic that Friday gets a big reveal of something, and Monday starts Day 1. Or Friday is Day 0 or something like that
Okay, I got a new idea for the update progress. Friday, Raid mode ships. In MvM (formerly Raid mode), we have to destroy tobor for achievements and prizes and as we get these prizes we can craft them with the junk from this week to add "points" to a pile. Each item is worth more points. Lint worth 1, Fish is 10, Diary worth 10,000 and so on. Every day when we hit 50,000, we get the next day of the update, SHIPPED. So we'd be getting new content every single day, maybe twice a day, until we ran out of content. And if they pace this right, we could be getting new content for at least a week and a half, maybe two weeks. Imagine them adding a new item set every day for 2 weeks. It'd be insane. I think the community would go into some kind of shock or something. It would also emulate the "everyone collects pieces of the Golden Wrench" thing they wanted to do. After the event is over, the tools stop dropping and the Tobor prizes end, but MvM remains a normal mode, it just lacks the point based prizes.
knowing valve if those diaries are really that rare they aren't random on a timer because for some reason valve can't do stuff like that they're probably fixed just like the wrenches (remember the whole fiasco with Drunken F00l? he somehow knew the exact times and got one)
i just hope that they dont pull another golden wrench with the trash items. All those leveled vintage items will be missed in memory forever
if someone figured out the timer last time, why would they repeat the mistake, ignoring for a moment the fact the dude who figured out the pattern is now a Valve employee.
if someone figured out the timer last time, why would they repeat the mistake, ignoring for a moment the fact the dude who figured out the pattern is now a Valve employee.
didnt df personally ask a valve employee what the specific times were?
who in their right mind would keep an entire cheese wedge in their pocket, let alone a goldfish and a barn door plank
a completely speechless, pyromaniac sociopath set in the late 60's, probably.
Or Guybrush Threepwood
Got a damaged capacitor. Dunno if I want to sell it or not. I'll be really disappointed if they turn out to be worthless, but even more disappointed if I sell it and it turns out to be amazing.

To just add into the bandwagon of MTP speculation and added maps. But have you ever checked the other characters' biography in the tf2 comics? Strangely the heavy and his family lived in a Russian Gulag, in which the exact location isn't verified nor how long he have lived there for was revealed. It's stated that the entire gulag was BURNED TO THE GROUND and the guards tortured to death. Who could've possibly have done this? Perhaps one of the numerous amounts of peoples living in the gulag, but I think the pyro has something to do with it. Just a thought, got the idea from looking at the 'meet the pyro' image on the team fortress website, perhaps that's an image of pyro burning down the gulag?
I can't hold all this pocket lint.

Interesting.
I can't hold all this pocket lint.
Give it all to me.
Pyro doesn't seem to be the type to even realize he's in a personal battle with Heavy

Give it all to me.
Doesn't mean that the pyro is against the heavy, he could have just burned down the gulag either A: for the hell of it B: help the people living in it (somehow)
Anyone needs a banana peel? http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=7203919 EDIT: Had to close it.

Not really...
Maybe they'll give Pyro some Pyromancer items. That would be kind of neat. Like a wand/flaregun thing that "shoots" fireballs that are just different attribute flares with a melee animation.
I can see the Pyro is a active pyromaniac (no really?), but someone who would toture people for no real reason? Not really...
Yes, the mumbling pyromaniac doesn't like to torture people, that's like saying Jack Nichloson (as the character 'Johnny' in the shining) doesn't like chopping up people with an axe
Yes, the mumbling pyromaniac doesn't like to torture people, that's like saying Jack Nichloson (as the character 'Johnny' in the shining) doesn't like chopping up people with an axe
No, the actual actor enjoys that as a hobby as well. That's how he got the part.
No, the actual actor enjoys that as a hobby as well. That's how he got the part.
Obviously.
No, the actual actor enjoys that as a hobby as well. That's how he got the part.
Every other role you can understand him in, he's an arrogant, sadistic bastard. So maybe Pyro is too.
Every other role you can understand him in, he's an arrogant, sadistic bastard. the barn door plank probably isnt related to the door in 2 fort, as the wood types are darker/lighter picture for comparison
Yea, but Spy and Invoker (other Valve characters played by the same actor) are well beyond just being insane and having a little bit of pride in their work. They both think they're the only thing the in the world, and are the best at everything. I guess he's just good at filling that roll. Invoker and Spy's lines are all kind of similar, when you remove the in-universe references to them. Also Invoker's laugh is the same as Spy's
the barn door plank probably isnt related to the door in 2 fort, as the wood types are darker/lighter picture for comparison
Well it's probably lighting since it's sitting in a dark corner. But than again, maybe the Pyro got so sick of all the Mann Co. Supply Crates he had so he smashed them all up...

I've given up trying to figure out stuff. I'll just grab onto my junk and wait for tomorrow.
