Do you lose the bananas when you try to craft them?

Do you lose the bananas when you try to craft them?
You get to craft your bananas and keep them too!
It's a banana crafting ERROR after all!
don't be lazy. go put your codes in the databases floating around rather than posting images or the codes themselves on the forum (bolded so everyone sees)
There are too many people viewing that page right now, causing errors. Also you have to e-mail that one guy to enter yours into the database. The one accessible by everyone didn't seem to have a place for the codes.
Just make one with "DON'T POST HERE UNTIL V3 IS CLOSED" in big red letters.
I think this one can weather through tonight (it still has 2,500 posts to go), so I'll just make V4 tomorrow morning.

Its good site...people are stupid
Guys, guys, we were out of bananas. What does it all mean?
It's funny because "The Lone Spy" agreed with this.
Come over here Red Heavy, I want to give you a hug. I promise this is not a trick. Ignore the dead bodies.
QR codes don't support grays. If it were a QR code, all we'd see is 0xFFs and 0x00s. It's a puzzle of something with the dimensions, 1x8, 8x1, 2x4, or 4x2 (considering there is only 8 pictures)
That's not how PNG works. It has compression. So with a 2-color palette, it might have 1 bit per pixel. (and even less than that from what I do know about png)
Can you trade your bananas to another account and get a different code?
Can't believe I'm asking can i trade my bananas in tf2 jesus valve
edit thanks bee arr bee

Those might be the MD5's of the eight images, each with 388 bytes.
Can you trade your bananas to another account and get a different code?

Codes are tied to accounts, not bananas
Those might be the MD5's of the eight images, each with 388 bytes.
It's not 388 bytes.
388 is the item ID for the private eye.
I'm currently backtracking through this thread and copying down the codes of each image that's been posted and I'll put them in a new thread.
SPUF has a lot of codes too: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2760207
Great site

and this is why we aren't getting those images by tomorrow.

I'd love to do that, except I can't find a good one that isn't getting modified by moron/abandonned after 30 min.
If you have a serious and well organized one, feel free to share it.
Its good site...people are stupid
Yeah I don't know how Valve thought we would be able to do this. There are definitely going to be stupid people who are going to destroy what we've compiled or groups of people who have no idea what the error does. Those groups of people will leave chunks missing from the picture...
It's going to be really difficult to get everyone's info.

podka.st/5j & the spreadsheet that's linked from there. Second link requires screenshot url, prob for verification

I busted a gut.
I'm getting worried.
How are we going to amass enough bananas?

yeah valve is retarded. with the potato arg people didn't actually have to work together to solve it (except that last bit which sucked and wasn't an arg anyways).
the internet can't work together to solve an issue like this, it just takes one troll to put in something in the middle of the image that fucks it all up
I'm getting worried.

restart tf2 and your code will change. amount of bananas doesn't matter
I have no idea what the fuck is happening.
15th code is: code 15: 0x52 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xC8 0x00 0x00 0x00
And it is an error #6.
can you screenshot this? someone in the IRC who is doing some PNG sorcery wants to make sure

This is why we need a thread.

or maybe once all the codes are claimed the image will go up on the blog, and everybody who crafted bananas successfully gets a hat with tomorrows update
