I'm assuming some sort of wget magic from a plaintext version of the document.
This is all very interesting, but I sure hope they give us a little rhyme and/or reason to this madness soon. Mysteries are fun, but when they're completely directionless they're a bit hard to stay excited about.
To date, I still think the doves flying out of random gibbed scouts was the absolute perfect teaser Valve has ever put into a TF2 update. Genius. Just genius.
EDIT: The Announcer "Friendship detected!" lines were also pretty dang inspired.

I'm wondering, are they gonna do this sort of thing for every item until the update is shipped?

consulting the png specs here - [url]http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/spec/1.2/PNG-Chunks.html[/url]
these are 200x200 images, but the palette on image #3 has 4 colors... ffffff (white), 000000 (black), 55c2d3 (some sort of teal), and 7e0000 (dark red)
is it possible to reconstruct the images using the md5 hash, seeing as we have 80% of the source images?
edit: i just had a thought... 8 images, 9 classes... what if these are class images and one is intentionally missing?

The short circuit was supposed to be a type of minigun, but got turned into Nope.avi The Weapon in order to be a secondary weapon.
