Although mechanics-wise, dispensing ammo and health seems like it wouldn't work. The whole point of ammo is so you can't just hold down the fire button for eternity. If the medigun refilled ammo, it'd have to be at a rate that wouldn't allow this. Then it wouldn't be very useful, seeing as there's usually a corpse to pilfer every few feet. Maybe an infinite-ammo type ubercharge? Not sure folks would go for it though.

But you have a point there, an ammo-dispensing Medigun would be pretty awful on weapons you don't need to reload like the Minigun.

A system whereby a single individual mistake isn't enough to topple the team would be a good idea for the resolution of such an issue with wave-style games. Maybe the system whereby weapons are upgradeable includes mechanics that prevent an individual loss from screwing over the entire team. Being that MvM is likely a mode where one team is AI driven and doesn't have the weapons upgrade stuff, I have a feeling that feeding won't be an issue, since player deaths probably won't give resources to the robots. That's one of the main issues with MOBAs; getting killed can give experience and money to the enemy, which is the root of all feeding, and one of the reasons why MOBA players can be so nasty.
