I bet they replaced the old AAAaAaAaAaSFKDGFV with the new one because otherwise the Portal 2 Pin would be available again
New item schema stuff. Something about those mysterious promos and they added a new item called crafting bar level 1.

How 'bout this, with the recent Potato Sack Reunion?

Iron Bar confirmed for Minecraft promo
My God, I wonder if Eric took that email I sent him a couple of weeks ago, sat down and said WE NEED MORE BLOG POSTS AND AN ARG FOR TF2 BRING OUT THE TATERS
Potatobor
Didn't we get the Summer Shades from the potato event last summer while the summer crates were dropping? We're not getting the summer crates at the moment so does that mean no summer crates this year?

That makes no sense. The Resurrection Associate Pin was a limited-time thing relating to the contest. Not something inherently given by having the games. You actually had to claim it.
yea, the pin was different.
It's weird, actually. The first Mysterious Promo has been in for more than a year, we got another one later, and now there's two more.
First I thought it could be the sets bundles from the update. Once they finished a set, they prepare the ground so they can add it when time has come. But it's been way too long since the first M.Promo for that.
Second, I thought it'd be the WETA sets, because there's two sets and two M.Promo. But there was no M.Promos this Christmas.
Still, why "promos"? Since when do promos gets worked on this much? :v:

Summer Shades were from tickets during the Summer Camp event.
Well, maybe if the promos are for something big and secret. Either that or it's for MvM.
note there are four planned Weta weapons
well I'll be damned.
maybe...
nah
I am biting my lip at the thought of what new microtransaction-related stunt they'll be pulling with the next big update.
I was really upset with how they handled the holiday crates and holiday keys last year. It was really pretty lame to the contributors after the precedent they had set earlier, and frankly, it came across as being uncharacteristically money-grubbing. At least to me.
What happened? I missed it.
Also, what's this MvM?

They use the flare gun in all cases for placeholder content.
Just like the level 50.
I can't wait for how angry tons of people will be when they don't reveal what the Pyro is in MtP.
You know they're not going to do it, and even if they show him taking off her mask, it'll just cut to the end or something will happen so you don't see anything.
don't think anybody cares about his identity
we just want content
More stuff? yaaay.
hl2.exe crash
haha
Remember the Hatless update?
Then again with the Manniversary?
We're about due for another 2 months of the game crashing every 10 minutes.
They removed the outdated stuff in the description for The Potato Sack.
TF2 promo for Payday somewhat hinted at... maybe
http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/06/12/valveoverkill-not-making-left-4-dead-prequel-making-something-smaller-but-really-cool/
No, they're stillt alking about the L4D and Payday crossover promos.
I like to think that the Pyro is to Valve what Poison is to Capcom.
They will never really confirm what she/he really is but will make load of obscure, doubtful references around it.
Edit: 119th post! [sp]There is something with me and this number. Not because of TF2's update. I really keep seeing it everywhere and in many games I play.[/sp]
You know, it just donned on me.
What time period does TF2 take place in?

1960s

Archaeologists believe there was once, in fact, a "consistent theme" to TF2. Some of the most skilled analysts estimate that the period was around the 60s, but further examination of the art style fossil will be required before a conclusive result is reached.

Late 60s, I forgot the specific year. It might be '69.
Edit: It's June 1968 according to the wiki and they're probably going off of in game calenders.
1960s
1969, which makes it more 70s culture than 60s.
1960s
Well, that throws my "Glados is controlling the robots" theory out the window.
But it's still possible that Aperture could be involved, considering that it was formed in the 1940's.
Mann Co. could have funded a robotic mercenary project, with Aperture providing the robotics. And something went horribly wrong, creating the TOBOR incident.
Cave Johnson arguing with the Announcer, anyone?
