The pyro can't have a gender. Valve wanted to portray it as a monster, a faceless enemy who you would avoid as much as you could. Giving it gender gives it a face and removes the fearful aspects of the character.

I like the idea of pyro being female to give more variety to the game rather than being a sausagefest, that said I hope Meet the Pyro doesn't give away the gender, like being about to take the mask off followed by the endtune before anything's given away, and Valve continue to tease the community.

There is a RED and a BLU pyro so would it not be at least plausible it is two pyros? Like one male, and the other female.
Why do people care so much if it's male or female, and why are we trying to search for evidence about the pyro's gender who cares and why do people throw arguments about it being male/female seriously does it matter play the game.
