Pyro is neither, as it's a robot. It explains the arm blueprints on the wall, and why the flamethrower is in front of the engineer in that video. It fits with VALVe's shenanigans too.

The fact remains that the Pyro isn't a real person, and Valve will decide/has decided whatever they want, despite what the signs point to. If they [u]ever[/u] reveal the gender, that is. Right now, the character doesn't have an explicit gender.

I think that would just increase pyro's popularity and it looks crazy enough to be VALVe.
As of right now, the Pyro isn't man or woman or robot.
The Pyro is just "the Pyro".
The Pyro is the head of a women placed onto the head of a man.

Pyro's "Meet the" video won't show his face, and would be very disappointing if they did. It would take away the pyro's personality in a way cause his face won't live up to people's expectations, weather or not it is male or female. And onto his gender, it is definatly male, Valve likes trolling us and in a way we like to be trolled by them. They whole idea that the pyro was female was because of his handbag, once those rumors got around then Valve added fuel to the flame (hur hur) and made the Pyro walk and stand in a girlish way. In my opinion, the pyro is probably some messed up and insane guy. He loves to set things on fire afterall.
