On the server i play regularly i whore hlxstats points. The scoreboard points aren't worth following though, too many crazy soldier players who have a bilion kills. [editline]01:28PM[/editline] [QUOTE=gbtygfvyg;22191915]I don't, i don't even understand how the points system works.[/QUOTE] [url]http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Points[/url] [editline]01:29PM[/editline] 1/600 point for eat sammich :& [editline]01:30PM[/editline] oh i guess its 1/600 for every hp
I play for fun, therefore, I care more about winning.
Yes I do, I like to keep my kills higher than my deaths but thats hardly possible sometimes with the huntsman, I normally end up having them both equal at the end of the round.
I don't actively try to farm them, but it is great to see if I'm at/near the top spot. Since I play spy I also generally choose higher priority targets based on if they have more dominations/points (until I've actually seen who's good) and use the scoreboard to watch enemy spawn times.
The important thing is to play and have fun but sometimes you feel like you must have a lot of points. I just like kill players and also get revenge because I don't want to be dominated.
All i need when playing TF2 is to see "XXX (voice): Thanks!" in chat after doing something credit-to-teamy thats better than any numerical score.
I don't like the options, points do matter to me for the simple sake of it but I wont go out of my way to get them.
Only really care about the kill:death ratio. Gives me a decent idea if I'm failing or not.
I like dominating people, don't really mind about points.
It's a cold day in Hell when I top the scoreboard. Either that or my team is truly dreadful. But I play for fun, I couldn't care less about points and the K/D ratio. I even find losing to be amusing; I like watching everyone run around with their hands up. :v:
I don't actively try to get points per say... I try to kill as many people as I can because I like to, if getting points is the side effect of slaughter, then... Give me points! >:3
Nope, but a victory isn't bad either.
I care pretty much about my score, but having a good time is more important
I get as many assists as possible. That way I get a lot of points and be credit to team :buddy:
I once got 30 bonus points in a round thanks to Jarate :mmmsmug:
I care about points if I'm strictly going for kill points. Points built up from capping the point or intel really makes no difference to me since they don't require as much skill. That said, I like points but I don't actively farm them.
Points don't matter to me. I just do whatever I can to help my team to victory. If we win, then it's satisfying to know that I did my part. If we lose, oh well.
I only care a bit about points if I'm playing with people I know, since it can be an indication as to how good they are.
Points are a bonus nothing more to me
I don't care at all about points. I care about playing the class my team needs, and doing what my team needs, to have us win.

I mean Who cares if they won? As long as you have more points than their top guy it doesn't matter! /sarcasm Sir, you are an antisocial beast, and I must say that your ways will have to change before you may be accepted into the league of gentlemen. And don't go thinking that hats will be your salvation! NO. A gentleman is 1 part manners an 1 part hat-wearing gentlefolk. I bid you good day. I play medic alot so I'm generally at the top of the scoreboard, medics don't really need much skill thought if you're just healing someone
I only play for fun. Which usually means I don't have much points, and my k/d ratio is horrible.
I usually just do whatever I can to help my team to a victory, whether that be throwing myself onto a point or cart to get it going, or switching to medic or engineer to provide support. If I have the most points on the team, then that just means I'm doing a good job helping.
I like having points but they aren't too important to me. Because I'm a Medic I usually go into tab to see how much healing I'm doing and I compare my score with other Medics to see if I'm doing an effective job and I try ti improve based on my score, but I don't really need them and as long as I helped win I'm happy. There are times when I joined a team and I KNOW my skills as Medic turned the tide of a battle but I just wasn't there long enough to build up a meaningful score. (I'm not trying to be a self important prick here. A good Medic can make or break a team easily.) Although, seeing your own name in the top 3 constantly is a nice ego boost.
I ain't really into grabbing points like that, since all they do is keep score. Not that i'm saying they should do more, that kinda stuff's for RPGs and the like. Personally, I play for the battle rush, the thrill of gibbing mooks (and pros if i'm lucky), and all that jazz. Points are just for show.
I like points, but points aren't so important if I know I'm helping the team even without scoring (like when I'm playing as Pyro to airblast ubercharges)...
I use points and visual observation to judge who I should heal and uber/kritz. It's a good method.
Also note, even though it's contradictory to my previous statement, score does NOT always mean you are doing well. I could be a Medic and even though I'm number one on the server, I could be dieing at all the wrong times and ubering at all the wrong places. Likewise, the Spy at the bottom of the scoreboard that makes the right kill at the right time could be the hero of the game, or that Engie who is at the bottom of the scoreboard whose Sentry, Dispenser, and Tele saved the entire offense. When I look at my score I also look at my other stats, usually healing done, deaths, and ubers activated. If my Uber/Death ratio is greater than 1:1 then that usually means that I'm doing a good job. And if I'm a Medic and my Kill/Death ratio is greater than 1:1 then I'm seriously doing a good job. It's used more as a reinforcer than an actual display of skill. If you think you're doing well and your score reflects it, then you know you're doing well.
I do this thing called having fun. People rarely seem to do that anymore.
