• Do points matter to you?

I try to win, getting points is just a byproduct of that.
I keep an eye on them to see if anyone tops my score. I saw a bunch of guys on a server with 50 points I topped their scores in less then 20 minutes
I forgot TF2 had a point system.
I usually play normally, then I look to the scoreboard, see I'm the top player and smile. It doesn't really matter anyway if I'm the top or last.
Yes, I use them as a way to measures my contribution towards the fight. Though it is stupid to obsess over them.
It has nothing to do with the amount of players. Every time you press tab, you usually just look at yourself, and the person with leading score.
true that. [editline]01:31PM[/editline]
I try to be helpful to my team rather than farming points. But there's nothing wrong with having 60 points and 3 deaths.
Same, I only seem to feel content when I'm being useful. Either that or when I'm just messin about :P
I'm kind of obsessed with points, especially when playing soldier or spy. I wish I could just play without thinking about them, but I can't.
I like points. Since I'm that kind of person that doesn't get better or worse when I play, they're good to gauge how well my other teammates are doing. I also like to set personal goals for myself. I made it to 30points? Let's shoot for 60. Let's see if we can get to 100 before my friend does, or maybe stay a few points ahead from that other person that has a same point total as me. I just see it as a fun element to the game, not something necessary. I'm not an ass about it either, I honestly don't care what my points are if I'm having fun. When I'm a sniper I usually don't care about points, just getting the other snipers, and avoiding body shots.
I'm not really there for score, or even wins. I'm just there to have fun. I don't ragequit or farm points, because I believe that TF2 isn't about winning, losing, or getting points. It's just for fun, whether you win or you lose. I normally don't really even need to farm points, I end up on the top 3 most of the time.
More about dominations for me Feels good to have medals
Who doesn't dig being MVP when you win each time?
I just play to have fun. I work toward winning but if we don't win, I don't mind. Although winning isn't so bad either. :v:
Umm what if I try to get points and try to win?
If my name doesn't pop up when it says MVPs I always feel ashamed.
ITS ALL ABOUT UNFAIR KILLS /caps
I just plan to make everyone ragequit any way possible [editline]11:09PM[/editline] I rank my points off of the reasons
I hate when point whores play as medics. They look for the person with the most number of kills and pocket heal them, while the rest of the team dies around them.

Yeah, I guess I care about points. I don't farm them, or get pissed when I'm doing bad. They mainly serve as a reason to keep going. When I top the scoreboards, it tells me that I can safely say I'm helping out my team.
I don't care if I get many points or not, I just love being an annoying scout. I just hate that sometimes if I have a low score people try to kick me for being "useless" even though I'm the one the enemy has their attention on so my teammates can pass by unharmed.
I play to win, but if I'm at the bottom of the scoreboard I care. But I'm almost always at the top while playing scout because of my proficiency with the Sandman and Scattergun. (Usually picking off other scouts or beaning snipers and heavies.) If I'm in the middle or top I don't care about points but I hate being at the bottom.
Not really, I mean sure thing, being in the top 3 is cool and all... but I tend to play for the fun. P.S Its fun being on top as sniper :3 Shows u are actually a good sniper.
They don't matter to me. Sometimes it's nice to see that I have the highest score, but I know it doesn't mean a damn thing.
I like points but sometimes when I'm on an achievement server and I've got like 425 points, it doesn't really feel all that good.
I used to like points, but as a devout pyro all you have to do now is just airblast out a few burning teammates and you're at the top. Always depresses me when I check the scoreboard and see I'm raping but then see that most of the points are just bonus.
I believe that it's called Team Fortress 2 for a reason. I don't care about points much, if at all. Sometimes I look when I'm respawning and I'm curious, but generally I try to concentrate on the control point/intelligence/payload.
I don't generally watch my points/kills, but sometimes getting a 3 or 4:1 kill/death ratio can be really satisfying.
I don't really pay attention to points unless we're losing. Generally the mark of a good loss is when most of the team is doing better than me but we're still losing. That means they don't suck. Because I suck. Obviously.
I only mind points when im working my arse off and I get like 10 points the entire round for saving the team. Also KDR is a joke.
Unless I'm Medic, I always get a bit annoyed when I see that I have 2 kills, and 10 deaths. So points do kinda matter to me, because they let me know that I'm actually doing good.
