beard floats and the moustash clips into the diaphram-thing, which is there to make your speech through the mask clearer, they're not actually nose filters as most people think they are.
If it's too close to the original mask, should I give it straps and have an operators overalls balacvlava underneath, similar to how it is in the film? I made it hooded to save polies.

At the moment, no. I'm not sure If we could add paintability with the body as we have some crazy sinewave tint effects that give him a nice subtle glowing pulse. Psyke wanted to have the eyes paintable but to optimize the model I have stopped the eyes using a septate vmt. If Valve thinks it can be paintable then I'm sure they will just change (and break) something to make it work.

Like I said, I love it and I want you to finish the original concept. However an alternative design that is still a flamethrower could be a good idea just in case Valve doesn't want to make his primary not fire based. Still, with items like the Targe and Booties, I don't think it's extremely unlikely that they could still go with this concept.

are you concerned that might be a little too blue on RED team? Maybe go with a light red, or even maybe green?

I really don't think he should be entirely paintable, but I would be alright with paintable eyes.

I mean, if a treasure chest can have 3 illogical styles, and a bird can have 3 paint styles, why not 3 styles that are actually cool?

Yeah,I was sorta inspired by that as well.I'm sorta thinking an iPad-like device that the engineer turns on by flicking the power button,just as he does with the PDA.The background on the iPad's screen could be,say,the Steam logo or something,and just for the spirit of it the apps on it could be something like iSentry,iDispenser,iTeleporter,WranglerPro,and DetonatorHD.

It's suddenly become very bad and obvious for no apparent reason as all I did was change the base mask colour, before it was fine.

Kinda, Psyke had it fading from a purpleish/blue (How it appears in mdl viewer and in the screenshots) to purple. I have simply bumped up the purple as much as I think looks good (in both low to high fade) to keep it nice and team neutral.

Its purple so I think we are technically in the clear in terms of team colouring. Note that in that screenshot its set at its lowest purple glow point, as when its ingame it starts at that light purple color and slowly glows to a nice ghostly purple then back again to light.

probably has to do with the compression, small color differences on dark colors tend to be effected a lot by it
