I've been wanting to somehow give pyro the engi's hard hat in a way different enough that it could pass as it's own item and not just seem like it was copy pasted. So far my ideas are to make it paintable(helmet or bow), a completely new model with some slight differences (maybe a chip or broken band) from the original and a bow on the side of it to kind of show it was a present. The whole idea is to kind of make it seem like a spare helmet engi gave to his pybro, any other ideas on how to make it a little more original?

I don't really fancy the whole "Engineer and Pyro are best buds and therefor Engineer items for Pyro are justified as gifts". It makes about as much sense as giving Soldier Scottish items because of the whole Soldier and Demoman are friends comics.
However items that imply that Engineer and Pyro are working buddies would be alright. I don't think Pyro would use a hard hat for his type of work, but his full body protective suit, tinted goggles, and crooked posture is pretty reminiscent of us welders. I'm slightly biased, but yeah, professions that involve full body protective suits, protective masks, and a lot of fire/electricity would be the kind of things I could imagine Pyro working with.

I really like the kanopy killer a lot, ive been using it extensively. However, one thing bothers me about it:

the front carrying sling jigglebones in view, but it doesn't do so..nicely to say. It's all twitchy and I get OCDed about it :(
So I've decided to fix it, even though I haven't really done anything in a 3d modelling program before. Got 3DS max though.
I compiled it to import the model already, but still got some questions though. if I remove the jiggling part, would I need to re-UV wrap the whole thing and thus pretty much retexture it? Cause if that's the case I might as well not try
also i realise it comes off a bit weird to edit someone elses work, but see it as a testiment to how much I like it

You can probably first try to simply edit the jiglebone values in the qc, which then only recompiling is needed. otherwise rerigging of the jigglebones should do it but I doubt that is needed

Workshop in general seems to be a bit weird at the moment. Lots of falsely reporting that entries don't exist.
