I really agree with Jal, you should wait until you have some progress before 'snatching' concepts. Also, if they were made for you make sure to include something that says that or use the concept in private.

I think a few other things tip off that it's a scout other than white socks. Also, if it's just a mod it does no real harm.

It's not just that, consider this: Scout jumps around a lot, much more than other classes, so his feet are often in the air and having bright feet makes it easier for people too see where the ends of him are even in mid jump However this has already been ruined thanks to the cowboy boots, it let's people ruin the bright socks on sout or give flashy details on the feet of other classes (as well as the whole mixing cosmetics and weapon replacements on soldier and demo) This, plus the fact that they look horrible, is why I hate those darn things, valve should never have accepted them.
Hm? But I agree that the white socks should stay. Are you talking about the white stripes on the shoes?

See: silhouettes, hats, the millions of reskin items, completely unfitting items, pyrovision

Does anyone know if in the SFM release there are higher resolution textures of the characters? I think I've heard here that there are but I don't have it so no way to check. I could do with the medics normal map if it is indeed higher resolution and possible uncompressed. If it is could someone extract the files and upload them or provide a link to where someone has already done so? I'd appreciate it very much. :)

Even if they had, though, how is that an excuse for us to do the same? If someone does something bad, that doesn't mean everyone everywhere should feel free to do the same bad thing constantly. If we want the game to stay as stylistically consistent and visually convenient as possible, we should do our best to follow the original principles of the game's design, rather than look at recent missteps and go 'fuck it'.
