My god, he's alive!
Just wondering, is this thing still going?

So I saw that new jacket Scout got and remembered the Fast Learner and thought about what other jackets/shirts/whatever he could wear. Then...it slapped me in the face like a wad of dosh.

I present...the lodsofemone pack. Complete with more LODs than you can shake a stick at, which is quite a feat considering it hasn't been modelled and never will be.
I actually did want to make throwable money at some point :v:

Why would you throw money though? :v:
Why would you throw money though? :v:
So his friends can grab it....while it's hot.
-snip- nevermind don't know what the fuck I was getting at.
Why would you throw money though? :v:
It was an idea for a "bling" set that plays on scout's richness and narcissism. That's the kind of stuff cocky rich kids would do -- throw money at people.
Plus I liked throwing money in MadWorld to distract enemies

I want it.
Okay, so bored again and waiting on one guy to get back to me about a jigglebone job. In the meantime, anybody need anything rigged, jiggleboned, particle systemed, or anything? :v: Boredom at its finest.
Well, as it came to a point where I owe my mom money and for some reason my dad isn't going to work, I think that, as I am still in middle school, to possibly try and take a jab at modeling, so I can help my family.
Now, where can you find a free modeling program?

The yellow and green might need to be altered, as you know, to know what team Scout is.

Blender is totally free, but I'm pretty sure 3DS Max can also be gotten free and legal by saying you're home-schooled.

But student licenses can never be used for commercial use right? We had the full Autodesk suit when i studied in collage, but we couldn't use it for commercial use. Well, we could use our student programs, but if we wanted to use what we created commercially we had to use one of the teachers full license programs to re save/export the files(i don't even know if the student version watermarks the exported files/scene files, but I guess the school didn't want to risk anything)
Also, compiled the rocket launcher, some minor clipping with the fingers, otherwise it fits like a glove!

I don't know how it is watermarked, but that is true. Even saying you're home-schooled entitles you to a learning student edition that isn't intended for commercial use.
I doubt they are capable of distinguishing student exports from teacher exports, but I'm sure once you get enough money rolling in, they'll be looking up your name trying to match it to a student license.
how come the track terror looks more like a shirt than an actual jacket
Well, then Blender seems like the program for me to try then. Don't want to risk anything.
there's really nothing to worry about, Autodesk won't find out and probably won't care.
If you guys don't feel like using blender or any priated/student software, you could always use the XSI (now softimage) Modtool. Its free to use and it has a .smd exporter.
Older versions of the Modtool comes with an .obj exporter, the newest version doesn't.

I got to thinking... the Demoman really needs more cursed weapons, since it's Halloween soon. He's got too many weapons that do silly, normal things, like blowing people up.
I mean really, what self respecting demolitions-expert uses bombs to do his dirty work, when he can use rare and expensive haunted artifacts instead?

It's kinda big, might be a problem for snipers shooting from that side. It's a bit situational, but might be worth thinking about.
I think that I'll check out that KritzKast link in the OP.

Looking at it, it seems like it would turn out to be a Persian Persuader reskin if it was officially added to Team Fortress 2.
And this would be one of the reskins I would accept being in game.

that thing is fucking gigantic. does it shoot payloads?

If you look at the muzzle (as seen in earlier shots) it's a pretty tiny rocket launcher with a big chunk of what I like to imagine is guiding technology on top. Ah, and if the potential texturer follows my vision as dutifully as Arakan has done, a decent part of that white space will be filled with pinup.

Looks cool but for the love of god, no more demo swords.

That would require somebody to texture it, because I'm not good enough.
So, if anybody would like to texture it, heres the compiled model with materials. The vtfs are just the AO texture, so all you have to do is to open the vtf's in to PS/Gimp/whatever you use and apply them too the texture.
Edit: Link removed until the size are finalized!
Edit: Reference image(created by Deodorant), if anybody feels like texturing it!

I really really love the War pig, however the bandana just seems so unnatural not being over the nose. Can anyone fix this? It seems like it would be pretty easy? (I'd also say bonus points if you made the bandana tuck into his coat/shirt.)

It's a pretty good idea, but I think the model is too big.
