Anyone want to get me up to speed regarding this whole VLEK vs Emporium thing? Everyone sort of treats him like a running joke here, but he nevertheless reads the thread and wants to join the update and acts friendly. I personally dislike the style and concepts of pretty much all his models, and I agree that his use of jigglebones is somewhat gratuitous, but there's no denying the guy is skillful, and in any case the Emporium doesn't usually ostracize people for being bad item makers alone. What's the history?
Name pitch: Arsonist's Neural Network
The "Arsonist's" part still feels slapped on and out of place, isn't it already used by some other item?
Speaking of VLEK, he recently commented on my profile asking for these to be added to the NotLU 2 collection. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93958849 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=16530 The witch hat I'm fine with, but I ask. Should these be added? I asked him to put the NotLU 2 logo on the 2nd item set.
I think we're accepting old items on a page called something like Return of the Living Update
I thought it was a tamigotchi for a moment.
id rather have it display 50:02 [sp]SOON[/sp]
I put 19:45 on because TF2 is in 1968 minus Scout is 23 years old (as of yesterday, new vest thing description) = 1945 :0 scout is a world war 2 baby! aww.
The "Arsonist's" part still feels slapped on and out of place, isn't it already used by some other item?
It's used by everything. Alliteration is probably the most common naming convention, A is one of the most common letters, and Arsonist is the first thing that comes to mind when people need to think of a noun starting with A that describes Pyro.
Alliterations are stupidly overused and people should try to be more original. Like for example, the All Father. Now that's a clever name, the handsome man behind it must be a genius of some sort.
An amazingly apt ascription.
The "Arsonist's" part still feels slapped on and out of place, isn't it already used by some other item?
Time for synonyms. Burners Brain-Bowl
Oh no, the dreaded triple alliteration.
Alliterations are stupidly overused and people should try to be more original. Like for example, the All Father. Now that's a clever name, the handsome man behind it must be a genius of some sort.
I think alliteration works when it isn't forced. If it's hard to find a word that starts with the same letter and is relevant, then don't force one in. There's other methods one could use to make catchy names - try assonance, consonance or just plain rhyming.

Though less than his
the brain texture itself isn't even touched much yet most of the stuff making it look complex is in the normalmap
Well, someone had to...
Somebody needs to make Uboa.
So the tombstone isn't turning out well. Anyone got any ideas for weapons? I was thinking a coffin minigun, but that has been done.

Also for a misc, maybe saddle shoes? [t]http://i.imgur.com/7YFLW.jpg[/t]
I'm texturing this thing, watch me doing that here Feel free to point and laugh whilst the stream/computer crashes.
So the tombstone isn't turning out well. Anyone got any ideas for weapons? I was thinking a coffin minigun, but that has been done.
A giant holy cross broken off of a tombstone, maybe? I'm not very good with ideas, at least for weapons.
A giant holy cross broken off of a tombstone, maybe? I'm not very good with ideas, at least for weapons.
That could work. I was thinking of doing a shovel, but I think that the cross is much better.
