It's still a lot regardless.[/QUOTE] Considering how the VTFs and VMTs work... it would be 100% possible. And you could mix other paints with the team colour paints. And further more you could mix custom paints with other custom paints or non custom paints yadada. I did a lot of research on this, and I figured the best course of action would be to name the item "CUSTOM PAINT #xxxxxx", where #xxxxxx is the hex value of the paint color, or the red team color if a team paint has been used at some point. Then the paint can icon uses that color in it's VMT. The reason being is that that's how the colors are set up, just like a normal set of colors represented in RGB values of 0 to 255 each. Just one major problem with it is that you theoretically could mix a bunch of paints together to get "straight blue" and "straight red" paints that you could use to ignore the team paint colors. Besides the "Valve would have to code it" excuse, that alone could kill it. Really though it is just "(red value 1+red value 2)*.5", "(green value 1+green value 2)*.5", etc. It wouldn't be hard at all, but while we wait for Valve to implement something like that (ya know, something useful) we could learn how to knit or harness a latent psychic ability.
